Hey all! I'm a former Connecticutite. Grew up in Greenwich and then lived in Fairfield until 1994. Saw Star Wars in 1977 at the Greenwich Cinema (spent the entire summer there). I saw ESB and ROTJ at a theatre in Stamford (can't remember the name).

I sure miss CT and try to get back every so often.

EDIT: Totally forgot Lighthouse Park! What a great place.


And New Haven Nighthawks games. Although they were the Senators the last time I saw them there.

HEY all!! So cool to see a CT forum! Okay, so I don't really live that close to New Haven. I am from Danbury area.

 

I'll be in Fairfield in September.

 

One of my best friends lives near Danbury...well okay he lives in New Canaan, but whatever, they're all pretty close to each other. I almost went to WestConn, which is in Danbury, too.

Gosh Connecticut is a small state, lol.

 

LOL, no, it's not... at least, not during rush hour when you're trying to get to New York. Four freaking hours from the New Haven area to where I am now. Oh, well...

Have we started organizing a when and where for meetings yet?

I am from Hamden as well. I've seen all the films released in my lifetime 1990 born. Seen them all at North Haven Showcase Cinemas, waited in line for them, and all that good stuff. I can't wait for The night of May 18th!

Actually its between Seymour and Beacon Falls.

See... (Pulls out a Map of Connecticut Valley) If you take and draw straight lines from Southbury, to Beacon Falls, to Seymour, and back to Southbury. Oxford is smack in the middle.

Maps? Who uses maps? - I was using the highly advanced GO EAST YOUNG MAN strategy : "When traveling on I-84E the Oxford exit will be after Southbury but before Waterbury." Not to get too far off topic but where is the closest theater to you that has a digital projector (Hartford?) I'm going to Trumbull on the 19th...just ordered my ticket last night.

 

LOL I guess I'm just old fashion. The exit your referring to (Exit 16) actually takes you to Southford (Southbury/Oxford) Its in between. But yes the exit after (Exit 15) that is all Southbury. I was trying to give you a more precise point as to where Oxford is.

I beleive so. I'm going to seymour entertainment cinemas opening night though. Just closer.
