FF:VIC Where'd the banner go?

Are the images showing up as dead Xs for anyone else?

 

Yep....guess they're saving space on the forums that aren't that active.

 

Ah, I was hoping someone here would know, because it looks like the images it's trying to load were hosted on someone's server ("http://users.bigpond.net.au/goldings") and not TFN.

 

Yeah, I tried going to that server from work to look up the Main image at http://users.bigpond.net.au/goldings/main.jpg and got Network Error (tcp_error)

I've hung a Halloween banner for now. If anyone has a backup of the images we can put them on the TFN or Collectinghq server and fix the banner. If anyone is familiar with the server the images are currently on - is this just a server issue or is this account now gone from that server?

Edit - As an addition to the above info - I did some Googling around and that site was free web space provided by the ISP. It was discontinued and I guess they finally killed or wiped the server. So we can't do much without a backup of the images.

 

Good news everybody!

I was able to use the Wayback Machine and retrieve the banner bits. I've uploaded the bits to the TFN server and updated the banner style for the new locations. The banner is up in our test forum and if Adalia says it looks OK she can hoist it back up after Halloween.

I've gone ahead and put our usual banner back up, as Halloween's over. (There is another banner marked "FF Victoria AU" that's not bad, by the way, so we could use that instead if we feel like a change...?)
