ST Which character's death would be the most upsetting?

Sure but Yoda isn't human so...his species lives long. Luke and Leia wont. I guarantee Luke knows how to use a light Saber and will use it at least once in the new trilogy. Leia, she may or may not, judging so far..probably not. It may be possible though. We don't know what happened the last 30 years. As of right now, I will say she doesn't, at least not yet. We'll see though. What I meant boutique Leia was if she doesn't have any training, it would be a bit too late....I would think. Carrie Fisher doesn't really strike me as being in the zone to swing a lightsaber but I'll happily admit I was wrong if it does. I realized I worded that vaguely so I apologize.

 

R2, has been through it all.

 

I said R2 and Luke. We expect some of the fleshy characters to kick the bucket but if R2 is destroyed I'd literally be like "WHY?"

And Luke's death would be an end of an era. I don't even want to think about it.

Maybe BB-8 will turn to the dark side and betray and murder R2D2. That would be tradgedy.

 

For the fans: Probably Han, Luke or Leia(with runner-up going to C3PO, R2D2 or Chewie).
For me: R2D2.

Luke - but any character from the Classic Trilogy biting the dust is going to be sad and affecting.

 

Chewbacca or R2

 

Luke dying would be the most painful for me. I grew up with his story and always related to him the most out of the OT gang. Seeing him lose Owen and Beru and then Ben in ANH, not to mention Master Yoda and then his father, Anakin, and all of the X-Wing pilots they lost always made me sympathize with Luke. So many friends and family members taken from him. Yet, he persevered and did the right thing, to help his friends and the galaxy. Luke was able to do the impossible by helping Anakin destroy Palpatine and bring balance to the force. Luke is one of the bravest and greatest characters in cinema history, imho.

 

Maybe you should look it up if you don't know what a word means. That's the best way to learn.

 

We can close this thread now. Truer words have never been spoke. Once Luke dies, Star Wars is over. Period.

Chewbacca for me. I don't want to see him die again after his death in legends canon.

 

You're all forgetting that R2 has died before... in a New Hope. "resurrected" but he was destroyed and non-functional.



I picked Luke...

 

I will probably not see a film where Luke dies .. I just couldn't enjoy it tbh.

I would have to say Luke, but he won't die until the next film. I still say Han Solo gets killed in The Force Awakens and it will be a big surprise. Leia will probably die in the next film.

 

Luke. With his whole new Jedi Order being annihilated, I'd say he's been through enough already.
