Full Series Which Characters Need a Book?

We are getting Sith Lords soon! This one promises plenty of decidedly evil, decided delicious, Sidious fare, I'm certain.

Imagine if they started cloning Zillo Beasts and there was an entire planet full of them!

 

Bet this guy would be rounding up hunting parties and leading off-world expeditions, huh?

Who knows, I might even be able to respect the Trandoshans as hunters if one of them could actually take down a 'Zillo.

Nah, there'd almost certainly be no honor in their methods. They'd find some underhanded way to make it happen.

I'm pretty sure Sith Lords will essentially build a new line post-Bane.

 

A group of Trandoshan hunters could easily kill an entire planet of Zillo beasts.

They'd just gas the entire planet from orbit. Trophies earned, for everyone.

Oh, I really hope you're right about that!

That's not to suggest that I was glad to see almost the entirety of the prior line wiped-clean like it was (I wasn't). It's just that I find myself really looking forward to getting some real, canon information on the history of the Order of the Sith Lords now. Because, let's face it: playing under the new rules, we know so much less about the history of either the Jedi or Sith Orders now than we used prior to D-Day. And, against my better judgment, they've got me hook, line and sinker with this "canon" stuff.

But that's only one of any number of things I'd be interested in seeing addressed in the novel.

 

No being honorable.

 

Oh, well, a Trandoshan hunting honorable? I say again, "of course not!"

But actually, I'm only thinking of the TCW portrayal of Trandoshans, and even then, only the hunters, specifically. For example, I'd say that Bossk stuck by Boba in prison.

In the EU, weren't some Trandoshans show to have some honorable qualities? Even among the hunters? Or am I getting my wires crossed, here?

As I already said in another thread, a Padme Amidala novel.

 

Hmm interesting choice. Is Padme interesting enough to carry an entire book? Im just going on the movies and the The clone wars series but I don't know. You have any ideas on what you'd like to see?

 

I would like to see her younger years before her time as Queen. Backstory, what made her decide to enter politics, and what made her well her. Then Padme's time as Queen, specifically between TPM and AOTC. I mean there's practically nothing on the character during those years. Just that she became Senator and that she briefly went out with Clovis. Also I always wanted to see more of her family.

As for the genre of the book, I picture a political drama. Kinda like Darth Plagueis. Exploring some of Naboo's dark side. Cleaning up some of messes of the previous monarchs, yes, I know Darth Plagueis is no longer "canon" but if it were. And even if it weren't doesn't mean there couldn't be problems from the previous monarchs. Plus there's still the mess from the Trade Federation post TPM to deal with.

And I always pictured the book ending just before AOTC or during, right before Obi-Wan and Anakin arrive. Or if were to go up to ROTS, right before she and Anakin reunite.

#1 the novel Tyranus: how Dooku fell, showing his seduction to the dark side by Palps
#2 Some NEU equivalent to Darth Plagueis
#3 Some NEU equivalent to (or the rendering canon of) Cloak of Deception
#4 A really good lead in novel for Episode 2 could do a lot to redeem it, showing the genesis of the Separatists
#5 A NEU equivalent to Labyrinth of Evil (LoE would be much harder to make canon than CoD)

#3 could be a Qui-Gon piece as well, #4 could have a lot of focus on Amidala, and #5 should probably be Obi-Wan+Anakin - but I'd understand if it focused on somebody like Mace Windu instead.

 

I'm shocked at the species-ism in this thread. Every Trandoshan is an individual, y'all.
