I originally pondered that, but with the aesthetics of Kamino, I realize that it looked best to have the clones be white. Though on the other hand, what if Jango was fully white at first to call back to the Supertrooper armor?

I pretty much like Phase I and II equally because of how smooth the transition was from the original clones to Stormtroopers, but I'll go with Phase I because it provided a good starting point, without being too similar or dissimilar to the Stormtroopers (yet still evoking the "good guy" feel). I like how the clones went from being personalized in Ep. III to identical in Ep. IV. It really shows how impersonal the Empire has become.

Both phases are awesome. Hard to pick.

Honestly I wouldn't have minded even more of a Vietnam-war feel to the armor, that would have been awesome.

I really like the Phase II, especially these camo versions they were wearing on Kashyyyk:

IMO, this is the best looking battle armor in all of Star Wars, and certainly more suitable looking for troops fighting in that kind of environment (the Vietnam era "jungle" feel that has already been discussed). What I'd certainly like to know is, why the heck didn't the Empire think of wearing these when they were on Endor in ROTJ? The environment is very similar to Kashyyyk, and as we saw, the Alliance troops were wearing camo. Nothing says "I'm a target, here I am" like wearing bright white battle armor in a forest environment!

Not sure- maybe Lucas wanted to keep the Stormtroopers as visible as possible for filming convenience?

That, and hammering home the Empire's military incompetence, maybe.

    Phase I for me.

Wish I could vote though, it seems turned of :(

Yes unfortunately it is, my mistake this is the first poll I ever made and apparently I set it to end way too early.

Phase II, if only because its not AotC. :p Nah, but seriously, Phase II seems much more battle hardened and perfected. It seems more militarian than Jango Fett bounty hunter styled.

Since the various types of Phase II armor have been a big part of the discussion here, I'm thinking about creating a new poll for everyone's favorite Episode III Clone variants/specialists.

    Thoughts?

I'll definitely include clones like the shock troopers, airborne troopers, 41st elite corps troopers, galactic marines, and BARC troopers. Basically all the kinds of clones we see in episode III.

I'd be happy to see this if you provide a snapshot of each type so we can check before voting.
