Occasionally SW has brought in writers who've already made a name for themselves, especially for "big events," but they also bring in a lot of relatively new/young authors. Which relatively unknown authors who have or are writing EU will go on to be big sellers in the future?

RAS is all but assured to have this honor - as does whomever is picked for the Episode III novellization. The TPM novellization was one of the most successful Star Wars novels ever. There's no reason to think RAS' AotC novel will be much different in that regard.

Outside of the nearly-guarenteed big-seller of the movie novellizations, I hope Stover ends up hitting the big time. He's an exceptional novelist who I think deserves it.

The most recent SW author to hit it really big was KJA, I think.
