I am really looking forward to meeting Anthony Daniels (despite his reputation) and Phil Fondacaro at Megafest. And then I'm sure C3 will bring many more experiences...

I do have a bunch of autographs from celebs I've never met, but I do hope to meet most of them someday (unfortunately, some of them have passed away already).

 

I've only met 2 celebs, both not from the SW world:

Marvelous Marvin Hagler (former world middleweight boxing champion)
Mo Vaughn (former Red Sox first baseman)

Had he not been killed the year I was born, I would likely have seen Rocky Marciano (the only undefeated world heavyweight champion in boxing) many a time, as he still made his home in Brockton despite his celebrity.

I wasn't aware that Anthony Daniels had a "reputation", but I still hope to get my pic taken w/ him.

Not that this is a competition. No, not at all. Maybe you have better stories than me. That's what really makes meeting a celeb memorable, the stories you can tell afterward.

If you want to count people seen in person but not met, I've also seen Biff Henderson from "The Late Show With David Letterman". Bill Murray is also in Brockton from time to time in his role as part owner of the Brockton Rox independent baseball team, but I haven't been fortunate enough to be present at a game or team function where he was in attendance. Oh, and you can add comedian Steven Wright to my list the night after Thanksgiving.

I've met John Williams 5 times. He's a pretty easy target after Pops concerts!

But he's always nice and conversational, and it was really fun to watch him meet this 8 year old who just kept humming the AOTC love theme and wandering into walls while waiting for him to come out. It was like watching a mini me. The thing is, I always forget to ask him about the Phantom Menace and AOTC music editing. I have yet to prove to the FilmScoreMonthly message boards that he was dissapointed with the score editing.

 

I have no problems believing that

 

If you ever go to a Pops concert - especially one where he doesn't conduct his own music - he'll usually come out after the concert to meet fans. For the last XMas concert, there were only 5 people waiting including my wife and I.

 

I'd love to meet Williams sometime, he's amazing.
