    much as i hate to say it... probably the dark knight. but this is more a choice of not really having another option more than thinking it doesn't actually deserve it. ledgers joker alone deserves it.

    Shawshank redemption. It's ridiculously overrated. It's a good movie, but definitely not one of the best ever.

    As good as the film was, The Dark Knight has not IMHO earned the right to be on the list.

    Ghandi
    Saving Private Ryan
    Gladiator

    Any of these three films should have easily beat out DK for that honor.

    The Dark Knight, overhyped and everyone seems to think that movie was the greatest ever made. Funny, because months before when Iron Man came out, everyone thought that was the best movie. Fickle movie going audience today, unable to appreciate the classics.

    The Dark Knight. It didn't do much for me, which probably shades my opinion, but I don't think it has the same caliber as the others listed.

    The IMDB list changes all the time. Usually at least one of the movies is a recently released one, and fades away within a few months. Same with the bottom movies, as well.
