I have downloaded AOL instant messenger. My user name will be Darth Zodd. Note that I had to use two d?s because Darth Zod was already taken.

It is Darth Zodd on my comp... it doesn't really matter how it's formatted w/ caps, etc. as long as you have the right characters.

Geoff... Emily... you have to download AIM and get a screen name so the Krickhans can communicate with the rest of us easily... we have a chat room that I set up where we can go meet (all you have to do once I invite you to it is hit file, then create shortcut and it will be on your desktop) and not have interference from others. Tonight we had a majority of the fanforce just chatting... mostly perverted stuff out of Brian and Don... but it would really be useful for you guys, esp you Krash as City Rep, if we could communicate that easily. I've even given you the link to DL it:

While I'm not a big fan of IM, it has some uses, however I must agree with my padawan. We've had problems with this computer, and are very happy with what we got in MSN. I don't want to chance screwing it up downloading AIM. And before you attempt to debate this...there are more people who use this computer then us (mom has FINAL say)...it's her decision.

You could just get a screen name, and get on AIM Express all the time. That's what I do when I'm at school sometimes and don't get a computer that has AIM on it. That's what I usually do when I have to get on the laptop.

You might not have that many options, but you still can chat, and it doesn't download onto your computer. It just runs on the internet.

Once you go to the other link I posted to get your screen name, you can go to this link to run AIM Express on your computer as Cindy is saying (just make sure you save it in your favorites in your web browser):

    http://toc.oscar.aol.com/aimexpress/content.html

I think this would be a good idea... You wouldn't get the problems of the server messing ur comp up if you're running the service from the website. But I never underestimated the power of the Mom...

That's one reason why my mom won't let me get AIM on the laptop... messing up the computer. As soon as I get the new computer downstairs, that is the first thing to be put on it. [face_devil] (After the internet though. ;))

At school my computer teacher has said that because our computers or some what old and slow AOL IM will crash it no matter what. I screwed up my computer once and had to get it fixed I will not do it again.
