I have to admit I'm not particularly familiar with either. The only Bowie songs I know are "Under Pressure", which is probably only due to Vanilla Ice, and that horrible "Dancing in the Street" with Jagger, and that probably due to Family Guy.

The only Poison song I know is "Every Rose Has Its Thorn".

I was going to choose drinking poison over David Bowie, but that's been taken.

So I'm going with "Poison" by Bell Biv Devoe. Now you know.

Chazz: Whose side did you take in the big David Lee Roth/Van Halen split?
    Chris Moore: What?
Marcus: What kind of question is that?
Chazz: Who's side did you take, Halen or Roth?
    Chris Moore: Van Halen.
    Ian: He's a cop.

    ---------------------------

Chazz: Who'd win in a wrestling match, Lemmy or God?
    Chris Moore: Lemmy.
[Rex imitates a game show buzzer]
    Chris Moore: God?
Rex: Wrong, ********. Trick question. Lemmy is God.

Yes, Bowie was nowhere to be seen during the 80s.

If it's a contest of stringing together over-used and misused cliches, interrupted only by lame, useless guitar solos, then clearly Poison, who are rivaled only by Bon Jovi in that department.

Since I assume we mean in terms of actually creating great music, I voted Bowie.

Meaning you actually heard Poison's "music". I'd think that would make a Bowie vote a no-brainer.

So, somebody inspired slg to make this thread by arguing that Poison was better. Who is this person? I'd like to laugh heartily at him/her.
I grew up in the 80s, as well... that's no excuse for having crap taste.

Wait, Poison the band or just any regular type of lethal poison? My answer would still probably be the same.

Has April 1 arrived already? And with whom are you arguing? Such a question cannot be resolved with logic and instead needs to be resolved with slapping a wet trout over someone's cheek.

My other roommate, not the coffee one. It's okay though, he's been taking music lessons now so hopefully things have been set straight in his brain.
