Saga Which is the best Star Wars prequel movie of the FOUR?

I like them all, but ROTS tops it for me since it just brought everything together so well. Rogue one is a close second.

 

ROTS is the best Prequel & up there with the best of the saga.......

 

i voted Sith, even though i think Rogue One just nicks it overall, i don't really see RO as a prequel, more like a prologue to IV, so its all one story anyway

 

Overall, I say R1.

Out of the actual PT though, I say TPM, mainly because it has the best art design and doesn't feel as artificial as AOTC and ROTS.

EASILY Rogue One. I am one of those people who mostly hates the prequels.

 

Go Rogue One! Out-prequeling the Prequels. Who would’ve thought, back during the re-shoots & production troubles. People feared the movie would be a dud.

• K-2SO in, like, every scene
• Space Jimmy Smits and Deleted Scene Mon Mothma
• The Battle of Scarif
• Jyn Erso is a storm trooper killing badass
• The U-Wing
• Darth Vader at his most monstrous

 

RotS had the most votes at one point, so I say go RotS! I feel your celebration is premature when the voting is still ongoing. Rogue One has the benefit of being the most recent one, which always distorts people's views (AotC was considered better than TPM at release, but now the consensus has largely shifted. Then came RotS which was again considered the best), and a lot of people here voting are new fans who just jumped on board the Star Wars bandwagon after TFA and Rogue One, while a lot of the PT fans have left this place long ago.

 

Sounds like a lot of spin designed to make excuses. TESB is nearly 40 years old & it tops every poll ever conducted. Fans of that movie don't seem to have "left this place".

 

Rogue One, without a shadow of doubt.

 

If a poll like this was done at the time of TESB's release, ANH would have won. Things change.

ROTS still sits as my favorite SW film, and will continue to do so until knocked down from the hill by some other surprise hit...


I'd wager TLJ has a solid shot, based on what we've learned so far.......

 

Revange of the Sith is the best prequel for me and the second one is The Phantom Menace but with Darth Plagueis book as a complement

 

I picked ROTS, although AOTC and TPM are both about as good. The PT is amazing and introduces the viewers to a galaxy with a lot of depth, and each screen shot presents so much to marvel at. There is also a complex storyline, and great development for the characters. The visuals are stunning, and I think the costumes are probably the best I've ever seen in any movie. Plus it's really cool to see so many Jedi in action, and also see what the Republic was like. And the symbolism and mirroring in the trilogy is really beautiful. There is so much to watch for and analyze with the prequels that it never gets old and I love them more and more with each watch.

As for Rogue One, I like it alright, but it's not the best film ever, the characters aren't as interesting as they are in the PT, and for all the resources the creators had, it frustrates me that it didn't match up as nicely with the established cannon as it should have. The PT far outshines Rogue One.

 

Rogue One very easily for me. I have my (mostly minor) issues with the film, but the fundamentals of film-making (acting, direction, consistent tone) are all there at least. It also promises to serve as a lead in to ANH and fulfills that function extremely well. It adds rather than diminishes.

Revenge of the Sith for me and it's really not even a contest. I literally have no issues with that movie (but it's not perfect obviously). On rewatches, I've found a few things I don't like about Rogue One but just a few.

Right now, Sith > Menace > Rogue > Clones

 

Revenge of the Sith for me followed by Attack of the Clones, Rogue One and finally The Phantom Menance.
