PT Which Jedi's death was the worst to watching during Order 66?

Now that's a stretch

 

Ki-Adi. He's probably one of the only Jedi that gets to look his executioners in the mask-lenses. And his look of utter shock and betrayal and astonishment is just heartbreaking. For a moment he's completely stunned as if he can't believe what's happening. And then his heart breaks as he realizes that the brave and courageous men that fought by his side for three years have turned on him. And thanks to Clone Wars, we know that the Jed Council knew that Dooku ordered the clones. So the last thing that goes through Ki-Adi's mind as he raises his blade to block is "How?"

And that's probably as far as he gets, since he's gunned down seconds later. And if he has any final thoughts it's probably that he's not the only one to be betrayed and that the Jedi Order is about to die.

 

Certainly Mundi

 

Aayla Secura, because you can see the terror in her face and she doesn't even have time to defend herself. I also like her carachter.

 

Ki Adi Mundi. Always had a soft spot for that dude.

 

I am sooo surprised this poll isn't majority for Aayla Secura. Her death is by far the hardest for me to watch for several reasons.

1. She has no moment to defend herself, literally the realization of her betrayal is plastered on her face.
2. The Battlefront II video game adds depth to her being there.

3. And most important, she is the only jedi where the clone troopers don't stop shooting. Ever since I was a kid I've always thought this was because of their denial in what they were doing.

 

Speaking of TCW:

"Valiant men the clones have proven to be. Saved my life and yours they have, many times. Believe in them we must."

The Jedi Council had discovered that Dooku was involved in ordering the clones, but they recognized that it was wrong to pass judgement and behave suspiciously of loyal friends, who had proven themselves to be of good character, solely because of (what amounts to) their parentage that they had no control over. When of course the tragedy of it is that this is one of those good traits that's going to get them all murdered, and Sidious knew it.

Which means that every Council member they killed died thinking this is what you really were, all this time, after all?

And the clones would never get the chance to explain.

Aalya because the way it happened they just kept shooting even when she was down on the ground.

 

First time? Just the kids. We didn't know any of the other Jedi. After we got to know them in TCW, Mundi was the worst, though Plo got me too, since he was important to Ahsoka.

 

Ki Adi and Aalya. Ki Adi looked so horrified and confused at what was happening, and as for Aalya, the clones just kept on shooting her. At least Plo never knew what hit him -- as far as he knew he was gunned down by separatists.

 

Actually, he looks back over his shoulder while it's happening. He knew.

 

Serious tie between Ki Adi Mundi and Aayla Secura, personally.

Ki Adi- fearlessly leading his troopers into battle only to realize they've stopped suddenly leaving him in the open alone. As others have mentioned, it's something about the stark expression of shock, betrayal and sadness.

Aayla- Well, because I've had a crush on her for as long as I can remember. Also, she was slated to have atleast one line in both AOTC and ROTS which were taken away from her. The see her on Felucia scouting with the troopers, attempting to lead them towards safer positions and looking around and what we can only assume is destruction with sadness and awe and have her gunned down. Hearbreaking.

 

The scene with Ki-Adi still brings tear to my eyes.
Plo Koon is the close second

 

Ki adi Mundi death was saddest! The music and Ki adi's facial expression was sad as he realized what was gonna happen

 

It probably should be the younglings but Ki- Adi Mundi's is the one that gets me every time.

 

I voted Plo's death, it was sad.

They're all sad, but I feel a special shout-out is due to Ki Adi Mundi, for the look on his face when he realises that his troopers are about to execute him. The first time I ever watched ROTS that was the moment when I realised Order 66 was an order to wipe out the Jedi.

 

I really can't separate them. The entire sequence unfolds so artfully. Only time Star Wars ever had me tearing up.

 

And they keep shooting her even long after she should've been dead.

 

Ki Adi Mundi was hard to watch-here is a general leading his troops, shouting come on. He doesn't understand what's happening until the first volley of blaster fire.

 

Jedi Younglings since you know they are kids.
