Which Kill Bill film was better?

vol. 2, definitely.

 

I'd go for Kill Bill II, mostly for Bill's wonderful monologue about Superman. Although I would love to see the whole thing as Quentin Taranito originally planned. Does anybody know if it'll come out on DVD some day?

 

Vol 2, a lot better acting. And still awesome fights

 

I really can't choose. Both films are very good for what they are (Vol 1 an action movie and Vol 2 a more drama type movie).

 

Vol 2, David Carradine is amazing.

 

I don't consider them two movies. Kill Bill simply rules in so many ways.

@ Oakessteve: Yep, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloddy Affair shall be released before too long.

 

I still prefer to think of the films as two separate entities. The first volume's action was good, but the character performances of 2 were even better.

 

I liked the 2nd film the most, I LOVED the Superman analogy.

 

One was heaps better. The music and style was fantastic. Great integration of the cartoon and surreal footage made the film set in an animi world.

 

People fail to realize that it was only one movie. It was filmed as one movie, it was edited as one movie. Tarantino wasn't just presumptious enough to put out a four hour long flick. He cut it exactly in half and did some minor editing to make it work there you go.

That being said, the second half was slighty better.

 

Just saw 2, was disappointed. I vote for 1.

I agree with Boba_Fett_2001, They are both great movies and both very different. I'm really glad that they didn't make it into one film because it would not have worked. I have already seen a movie that was trying to do both and I must say that I thought "The Hulk" really sucked.

 

I would have to say 2. I mean, it has a five point palm heart implosion technique and everything.

I thought Hulk was really good.

 

^^^^^The thing that made me dislike "Hulk" was mainly the way they edited it. The technique was cool, but they were trying to make it a big action movie when it's really a drama, it would be like if they editted The Shawshank Redemption like that. I like Ang Lee but I think he was the wrong choice for that movie. The studio was trying to make apple juice by squeezing bananas. Ofcourse this is only my opinion

 

I don't think they were trying to make it a big action movie which is what I liked about it. It wasn't about some big green monster going around and smashing stuff but it was more about Bruce Banner trying to figure out his past and who he is.

I voted 1. 2 was pretty awesome, but 1 just blew me away.

I've seen most of volume 1 but my friends told me that volume 2 is better though it has less action.

I enjoy both Volumes equally. That's not an option on the poll, so I didn't vote.

 

Vol. 2! Better dialogue, better acting, and the fighting seemed more importamt...not just like the shoot-em up style barrage of Vol.1, which I know was the point of Vol.1. Still love Vol. 1 alot though.

 

Volume 1. Much better.
