They both were lame. During LOTR, I kept checking my watch and trying to remember if I left the iron on. During HP, I was making out in the back row. So if I had to choose, I would have to say HP, even though I didn't get to see much of it.

hhmm although I love Harry Potter and the movie I voted for LotR he he

it was purely a shallow choice, just love Legolas and Aragorn and Frodo has beautiful eyes. ehhheee drool anyhoo, loved the epic quality of LotR and enjoy both movies on different levels. Besides the one movie I am so drooling over is the Matrix sequels.
    Go Neo!!!!

    ggggggrrrrrr arrrrrggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!

Buffy: Okay, Spike in five words or less what are you doing out here?

Spike: Out. For. A. Walk. B*tch.

    LOL!!!!!

    lol @ BHF

I thought HP was a more entertaining book, so I was leaning that way anyway. It was just more of a fun book/movie than LOTR. I still have yet to finish Fellowship because it's just so friggin boring and slow-going.

LOTR was made to be spectacular, HP was made to be fun...both of which kind of go along with their book counterparts I believe. LOTR was a good movie, it just wasn't as fun IMO. And right now, I'm just in the mood for fun stuff. I would say I'm looking forward to HP's sequel more, but I'll go see both (assuming LOTR2 stays out in theaters as long as the first one b/c I won't be back until after February).

The sequels that I'm most eagerly awaiting though, are of course the Matrix sequels, but also X-Men, in another year or 2, Spider-Man, and after that....Episode III :)

X2 will be sooner than you're thinking, they're still shooting right now I believe, but it's scheduled to come out around the same time as Matrix, May 2003.

the "in another year or 2" was meant for the Spider-Man sequel...sorry for the confusing wording :)

Nemesis actually looks pretty cool. It looks less like a Star Trek movie and more like...well, a cool movie :)

    I voted for LOTR.

    DUH.

I also missed like every other movie I wanted to see this summer. Gee, maybe its cause I saw AOTC eleven times and I STILL want to see it one more before it leaves the theater.
It was still in 2 last time I checked, so it still has to go to the dollar theater.
    Right?

you are wrong. I love the movie (I'll admit that overall it wasn't as good as LOTR, but it still has my vote for the fun factor) :)

Josh: did you see Spiderman? b/c it's out in theaters again right now...if you haven't seen it...GO SEE IT! Best comic book movie ever made IMO.

yes. Spiderman I finally saw and you are so right. The best comic book movie ever made. I can't wait for the sequel.
I agree that HP was a "fun" movie too. I enjoyed it. I wish they had done a little more in the movie to setup the next stories, but they kept it true to the book, which was good.
Maybe thats why I liked LOTR better. It seemed like the cooler version of the same story told in the book. Same with HP, but LOTR is a better story, I think. So, it makes a better movie.
