Saga Which one is your favorite theatrical poster of the entire Saga? (Poll)

With the release of the official poster of Episode VII: The Force Awakens recently, I thought it may be time to ask this question. This poll only includes the official theatrical posters used for promoting the movies of the Star Wars saga when they were first released (1977, 1980, 1983, 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2015). It doesn't include any of the other posters used for promotions or re-releases (Special Edition, 3D release, etc...).

You can select multiple answers if you have more than a favorite Star Wars poster if you want to.

ESB has the best poster..

I like TFA too.

3-7.
4 and 5 are just so awesome
6 is a step down but still cool.
3 I have this one on my wall.
7 I love it.
Anyone else notice that R2 and C-3PO aren't on the ROTS and ROTJ posters?

 

I love them all (though I prefer the special edition ones that aren't up here) but I'd have to go with ROTS and then TFA as a close second.

 

Probably ANH because of the cheese ball awesomeness. I'm not particularly fond of any of the theatrical posters, though. The "Nor Love" AOTC teaser poster is probably my favorite.

 

My favorite: ANH

There's just something so classic about it, almost like old-school Hollywood. I don't know…it's just the type of poster that makes the film look absolutely epic.

Then TPM - for its poster, it looks like all the characters are about to set off on a wild adventure, with Maul's eyes acting as the danger lurking in the distance. Really great poster.

Then ROTS. cool poster and well drawn. It just bothers me a tad that Padmé's outfit never actually appears in the movie because those scenes were cut!

Then AOTC, there's weirdly too much dark space around Anakin and Padmé. It just looks odd to me. That lens flare is also a tad too big and too close to Anakin's head.

Then The Force Awakens poster. It's just a tad too busy for me and I'm not too fond of the liens of soldiers at the bottom. Something about it just looks a little lazy to me as well.

Then the ESB poster. I REALLY don't like how small Luke is in this poster, there's too much white/blankness and, most especially, Han and Leia just feel like such a rip-off of Rhett and Scarlett that I don't much like it.

The ROTJ poster is my least favorite. The characters' faces just look odd to me, especially Han's. There's also something about Jabba being smushed in the corner and Lando's expression that seems out of place to me.

 

In order of favorite
IV - It's just a classic image that's been parodied countless times, most notably in the posters for the first two Vacation movies.
V - Love the Gone with the Wind Angle
VI - Had the emperor not been blocked by their resizing of the three main characters, this one might have ranked above Empire
VII - Love the detail in this one, it's just a little to noisy to rank up there with the OT posters
III - Good to finally see the emperor's face in a poster. I'm just not a big fan of the lens flares.
I & II - At the bottom because of lens flare prominence.

Really, though, I love all the posters.

 

I like all of them i think i'll like the new movie too when it comes out in december

 

ROTS, then TPM, then AOTC. Voted for all 3 though

My only real complaint about any of those 3 is the lack of Dooku on the AOTC poster.

 

I love ROTJ, AOTC, and TFA.

 

I just realized Empire is the only poster without a lightsaber in it. And once all nine episodes are released, it will be the central poster in poster collections. Interesting.

I enjoy all of them, but I think my favourite would have to be AOTC, by a small margin ahead of TESB's

 

I voted for TPM's.

I love Qui Gon Jinn's eyes at TPM's poster.

 

Jar Jar looks kinda creepy on the TPM poster.

 

He is our nightmare.

Just seems so ugh. I don't know how to explain it.

 

I really think he should not be at the poster. Same for Yoda in AOTC's.

 

What would you put on there instead? Or just leave it blank?

 

RotJ, for blue sabered Luke alone.

 

In TPM's I would put Nute Gunray. In AOTC's I would go with Dooku. Yes, Dooku SHOULD be there instead of Yoda.
