Which one should I get PS2 or Gamecube?

I wanna buy 1 of the 2, but which one:

PS2 or Gamecube...
X-Box, no way it's a stupid VCR and no quality games.

After comparing the two systems I think the PS2 is better, it has more quality games and some games like RL2 on the GC are coming to the PC I hope as Sithman said, but Gamecube also impressed me a little bit, so I am kind'a stuck here, so any help would be nice.

I'd get a GC. Sure, the PS2 has more games, but not many of them are really quality.

True also is the fact that the GC has few games, but eventually we'll be getting Legend of Zelda, a new Mario game, Perfect Dark II, Metroid Prime... a list of games from good backgrounds. Plus we have some other cool ones coming like Eternal Darkness and the Resident Evil remakes/sequels... And Lucasarts will probably be releasing Attack of the Clones games on GC - they seem to have a very friendly relationship with Nintendo.

Plus, we now have some good games as well, the best of which is of course Rogue Leader.

 

Rogue Leader is not going to be ported to the PC - I promise you. If you want Rogue Leader, buy a GameCube. If there were a port, I can't see it turning out very well.

 

This is the way that I see it, if you want adult challenging games then get the PS2. Nintendo puts out a couple hard titles but they are mainly easy childish games like Mario World. And X-Box is just crap right now with almost nothing good.

 

I wouldn't say that, especially with Nintendo, Sega and Namco developing a new arcade board (meaning more arcade titles, such as Soul Calibur, Time Crisis etc. on the Gamecube) not to mention the exclusive Resident Evil series for GC. You can expect plenty for 'adult' titles on the GC compared to the N64.

Anyway, put your money down for a GC. There may not be a high range of titles, but when you have Super Smash Brother Melee, Rogue Leader, Metroid Prime and Perfect Dark Zero all on one system, you can't go wrong.

 

Gamecube for sure...hands down it is better than PS2.

 

Nintendo reinvents its platform with each release...which means they stick you with no way to use your earlier platform games without hooking up your earlier console. All they care about is sticking you with an obolete game system which you HAVE to upgrade. Sony makes thier platforms backwards-compatible...and there are some really cool older games out there. All in all you'll end up with a greater selection of quality games with PS2

 

Two Words...Jedi Starfighter for PS2

 

i like Xbok but out of those two i'd chose ps2.it ranks high in every thing...

 

It ranks higher (especially in poly count) cause the developers releaser the optimum numbers, not realistic numbers with the effects of shading, shadows, animation, etc...

If you're trying to convince him to get an X-Box, I advise you not to bring up Obi-Wan.

 

Why not just get a GeForce4? All the good games are on PC anyways

if you think that PS2 has better quality game the get XBOX because its alot of those game, excluding the FF ones & racer revenge. it has superior graphics over all of them too. just compare max payne. Xbox: Max Payne PlayStation 2: Max Payne

 

Just as a point, TFN reported that Jedi Starfighter is coming out for X-Box.

Perhaps another reason to skip that PS2.

 

hmmm... pay more attention, I am no way getting a VCR and it has no good games, trust me I have looked and the good ones on the X-Box are either coming to PC or some other console.

 

its not a vcr its a dvd player & a game console. plus those games might be going to other consoles but they wont look as good.

 

What are you some game future teller who tells people if this game will look as good on that system. PS2's graphics is almost the same as X-box, even better if I might add.
