General Grievous would make a bundle as a spokesperson for cigarettes, on both sides.
    Jeanine Berry likes this.

To paraphrase Frank Booth in Blue Velvet - "BUDWEISER!?! @#$% THAT @#$%!!!"

Not like the advertising would be particularly hard to come up with, either

    Here's a few ideas:

Have Jar Jar Binks do what he normally does, then follow it with the words "Drink Responsibly"

The scene in AOTC where they chase the Bounty Hounter. "Where are you going Master?" "For a drink".

Anything with Han Solo in it. He seems like the most normal out of all of the characters. The most connectable and real IMO. He'd be good for beer commercials.

I think the stepping in poop scene would work here.

Porkins and that obese Twi-lek chick in Jabba's palace.

The true representations of the American beer drinker. (Actually, they're the true representations of Americans, period.)

    Awesome thread.

I'd like to see R2D2 shoot a can of beer to Luke instead of his lightsaber.

Don't know if this would qualify as a beer commercial so much as a PSA but...

    Remember:

Obi-Wan Kenobi, obviously. There's already a beer called McEwan and one called Guinness.

In fact, given that Alec Guinness's mother was a barmaid, it wouldn't surprise me if this is where he got his name. He never did know who his father was, and he simply took her word that his name had been Guinness. If his parents were both drunk, the name might not be far off the mark anyhow :p.

Actually, years ago I worked with a guy who was applying for a job in an ad agency & had to come with an example pitch - thanks to me banging on about SW all the time, he picked Guinness as the product, with the tagline, "Give yourself to the dark side."

    IIRC, he got the job.

Stormtrooper: How long have you had those beers?

Luke: About 3 or 4 weeks. They're up for sale if you want them

Obi-Wan: They're not the beers your looking for.

Stormtrooper: They're not the beers we're looking for.

Obi-Wan: You can go get drunk now.

Stormtrooper: You can go get drunk now. Move along, move along.

Obi-Wan and Luke drive Luke's Landspeeder to the Cantina. They get out.

Luke: I never thought we'd get past those stormtroopers.

Obi-Wan: The Force can be, awww forget it. I have a hangover, gimme a beer.
