Which Star Wars death scene was the most emotional to you or saddest?

I'd say either padme's or anakin's at the end of return of the jedi. That slow imperial march on harp just as anakin kicks the bucket gets me every time.

That final "string pluck" refrain of the Imperial March always gets to me :(

Gotta go with this one as being the most emotional, because it manages to make you feel sad and happy at the same time. Sad because the physical being known as Yoda is leaving Luke and the world behind forever, but happy because he's lived a long full life and is ready to become one with the Force and endure as an immortal memory.

Shmi, almost tied with Obi-Wan. First time I popped in ANH after watching the PT - wow. Bawled like a baby.

I think I'll choose Padme's because of the funeral scene with the music. It sounds so sad and you can see the sadness of people's faces along with her parents, who I am sure are wondering what happened to their girl.

Anakin's death in ROTJ immediately came to mind. I have to post the video; it's that good.

Hard choice but tentatively leaning on Vader's death. I just felt so much for Luke as Vaderkin was finally redeemed to him only to slip away...

Anakin/Vader in ROTJ. Brilliant, mythic stuff, and as already mentioned, that gentle rendition of the Imperial March is unforgettable.

As many others have said..Anakin's death in ROTJ. Luke gains his father, only to lose him shortly after.
Very powerful stuff for me, even as a 8-9 year old.=((

I felt the same way. I was nine when I first saw it. I would say the deaths of Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda move me the most.

As much as I dislike the character, Mace Windu, as his death is the beginning of the end for the GFFA.

Obi-Wan's. Back then I wasn't used to the mentor dying so soon in a story and I was specially invested in the character, unlike most people who usually identified themselves with either Luke or Han. Currently, Order 66 stands out as the most emotional sequence to me.
