Which Star Wars final line is your favorite?

I'm rather fond of "Ow!"

 

Begun this Clone War has

 

Luke's, "Ow!"

It's too cute.

 

Begun the Clone War Has has the most impact. I was going to vote for PEACE if we could've had WAR as the first line of AOTC, but

 

Clone Wars. I had that scene in my icon up until a couple days ago. The setting, the context, the delivery, all great.

 

Of course, Episode II's ending is the best.

 

Bah. "Ow".

 

Awww.

I think it's actually a nice little moment between all the downers that ESB ends with. It's also a little reminder that subtle humor used to have a place in Star Wars.

Of course, I'm probably the only one who thinks of it as a humorous scene.

 

Been a while since I've seen it, but I thought the final line in SW77 is Ben voice-over saying "The force will be with you, always." That would get my vote by far.

 

Thats very near the end but not quite the final line, he says that after the Death Star explodes, then they go back to the hanger at the Rebel Base. Luke says "He'll be alright" about R2.

Doesn't Chewie let out a roar during the medal ceremony? That should be the last line!

 

Gotta go with "Begun this Clone Was has". But "He's my brother" has a nice "full circle" feel to it for the OT.

 

Then count my vote for Chewie roaring.

 

If we're counting "Ow!" I don't see why we shouldn't count a roar from Chewie. Anything less would be speciesist.

 

Didn't R2 beep something out after Chewie?

The others don't carry anywhere near as much meaning. Well I suppose Yoda's comes close... but I always think it's wrong that he is already calling it the Clone War.

Haha, yes! AND I don't know why we aren't including "Ya ya ya", that is, the lyrics for the Ewok's song at the end of ROTJ. I demand a recount!

It makes you sit on the edge of your seat every time.

 

Wow, I never really considered the actual last line in each movie. They really are kinda strange to finish with out of context. I think "Ow!" is the funniest and therefore my fav.
