Just wondering, mine is the AOTC soundtrack, but I also like the TESB one.

EDIT: Making this official, to stop the redundancy.

I will concur. TESB and AOTC are my favorite of all, though I have a certain fondness for ROTJ's last sequences that cannot be subdued (eg. I listen to The Dark Side Beckons at least every week).

Mine would be like ST-TPM-ASF-TNE except I'd probably just put ESB above TPM, although DotF is the best single piece from the films for me :D

My favorite score is Across the Stars. I also love the Imperial March, Duel of the Fates, Throne Room, Leia's and Obi-Wan's Themes, Yoda's Theme, and of course the Cantina number!

ESB wins easily. The entire score is brilliant, and from the carbon freezing chamber on through the end credits is the most amazing extended sequence of music (any kind of music) I've ever heard. I would rank them:

    Original music composed for film:
    1. ESB
    2. ANH
    3. AotC
    4. TPM/RotJ

    Music as heard in film:
    1. ESB
    2. ANH
    3. RotJ
    4. TPM
    5. AotC

    My favourite is ESB.

At least until they release an Expanded Score for AOTC ... and i have high expectations for the Episode III score ... it has the potential to become a fan favorite .

    Let's see...

    1. Hope, Empire
    2. Menace, Jedi, Clones
    3. Shadows of the Empire
    4. Star Wars Christmas Special

What is this The Dark Side Beckons I keep hearing about?

The Dark Side Beckons covers the Luke - Vader duel in ROTJ, cuing in right after Vader finds out about Leia. It's fairly powerful - if you have the SE ROTJ soundtrack, go to around 4:50 or so - you'll definitely be able to tell what it is. :)

    Gosh, it's hard to choose.
I would have to say that my favorite is completely the AOTC soundtrack and then the ANH for the cantina.

well for one I like all 5 - yet TPM and AotC are more vivid imo. btw: I also love that music part in RotJ where Luke attack DV. To bad it's so short :(

ANH. IMO, Williams achieved something truly once-in-a-lifetime with his score for the original Star Wars, which even ESB in all its glory cannot quite match.

for me you cannot beat RotJ, mainly for the darkside beckons! also the music from the death star run (similar from ANH) and as halibut the attack on the sail barge, and overall masterpiece (and the only star wars soundtrack i have actually goneand bought)

for overall listenability, I would have to say ESB and TPM, but I really enjoy creating cue lists that compare many of the themes together. I like listening through, but I think that true enjoyment for me comes from tying them together.

as far as cues, can't beat Lapti Nek!! ;)

    4. ROTJ
    5. ANH

saying that after buying the AotC soundtrack that has many good scores throughout, but RotJ still rules supreme IMO
