While I was reading...

While I was reading 'Vector Prime', an interesting thought occured to me. As I scarf up all of these EU works and details, wouldn't it be funny if GL suddenly did release Ep. 7-9, throwing nearly all of the SW literature in existance out of canon? It's funny... From a certain point of view. Then it hurts when I realize that subsequently I read 'Darksaber' for no good reason.

Hmm, that would be cool and totally suck all at once. But don't worry, it'll never happen. There's still no reason good enough to read Darksaber, though.

If that happened then the EUDF would totally blow itself up from the inside and the EUC would begin to slowly shatter as only a shadow of its former self. Not to mention the fact that the Literature forum would begin to riot and the entire JC would crumble under the pressure.

I actually liked Darksaber, but anyway...

GL has said that he won't be doing Ep. 7-9, thank goodness. For if he did, the Expanded Universe as we know it will be gone, forever, and the purists and EU-bashers will win.

I liked Darksaber. Just couldn't stand Planet at Twilight and Children of the Jedi.

And I doubt we'll see Episode 7-9. Not because GL said he won't do them, but because you must remember that the great man is getting on in years...
