We all need a place just to grumble sometimes. A place to use as a sounding board. So, why not here, amoungst friends? Here are my two rules:

    1. Don't be mean!
    2. Visit the pitty pot, but don't stay on it!

    So here's my whining:

Mom came over and helped me clean up and rearrange my livingroom today. It looks really great and opened up a lot of space. The problem is that I had to unhook my DVD, satalite box and surround sound from my TV and I haven't a clue as to how to redo it all. I've got this terrific looking living room and can't enjoy it. UGH! I wonder what the satilite company charges for this type of thing?? [face_frustrated]

Why has PAL STILL not called me back?

Maybe the fact that I put 'shy' on the application hung me....[face_worried]

Call them and ask if they've been able to go over your ap. Go down to Petsmart and talk to them. Make sure they know your name and face, that way they'll know you're serious!

The application went through, I attended an orientation, and they said they'd call me in to set up my first day later that day...and they didn't. I called back the day after, and the lady said she'd have the coordinator call me back...still nothing. :( Either their offices are run pretty sloppy or they just don't want me.

    That't it...I'm calling back right now! [face_frustrated]

    I hope this helps:

Most connections depend on your TV, which can be the center of your home entertainment galaxy. The DVD, satellite and surround system should all go through it. However, I have seen situations where the DVD player outputs to the TV and/or the stereo/surround system, but that won't give you surround sound when playing your satellite feed.

So, without seeing your setup, I'm estimating that the DVD player and satellite box go into the TV. Then the TV goes into the surround system, so that all sources (DVD, sat, TV) all output through the sound system.

Let me know if you need further clarification. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips, but they don't work for me. My TV is about 15 years old and has only 1 spot to attach any type of cable. The TV still works great, so I can't justify replacing it.

Thankfully, Delta was able to come over and save us. It took awhile, but he was successful! There's some creative wiring going in behind my entertainment center!!

    Whining:

Broken heater core in Blazer engine
8 hours of mechanics time needed
    Parts needed
5 days of renting a car
    Blazer registration overdue
    Travel trailer registration due
    Drivers lisense renewal due
    equals: a really expensive month!

Oh well, at least having the Blazer towed was covered by AAA.

At least we know why the cooling system was smelling. Did not get in contact with our friend the mechanic. I have been away from the computer for all week. I am sorry for all the things due.

I broke my little toe again!! :_|

Just yesterday I was thinking how nice it was to finally have that toe almost completely healed and only slightly tender. You'd think I'd eventually learn my lesson and keep shoes on. What a ditz!!

Keep that tot near a toilet. Don't think it will make him sick but it might affect him at the other end!

He ate it a day or two ago and nothing happened. I don't think he ate much of it.
