Mom was picking dad up from work today and she collapsed in the store in had a seizure. She's at the hospital, on oxygen, but awake and staring to remember stuff. Dad says he doesn't know when he'll be coming home, and Mom has to be there overnight. They say she'll be okay.

If you could, please pray for my parents. My siblings and I are worried. Dad sounded okay on the phone, but it's just plain scary. I don't ever remember a time when Mom was in the hospital, aside from having us kids.

Carrie, I'm only a few miles up the road. If you guys need ANYTHING, please let me know. I work from 7-4, but am available to drive any of you where ever you need after that. If you want to go visit Mom in the hospital (even tonight), I'll gladly come get you.

Sorry for the late update- we've had to watch it with the phone lines.

Mom got home early this morning and she's doing pretty good. She's coherant, but VERY tired. The doctors don't know yet what caused the seizure, so she has to go see a nuerologist soon. The scans and tests they did last night came back normal, thank goodness. They're saying it was probably brought on by all the stress she's had lately.

Thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers. Mom says thank you, too.

 

I'm glad that she's home. I hope she feels better.
Stuff like that can be scary. Yay that her tests came back normal.
I'm praying for a full recovery.

 

I just read that Acton is being evacuated. That's where Ronnie and Nicole live. I called and left a message. My guess is that they're either at church or packing up. Hopefully, church.

 

Heard from Nicole. At this point, they're not being evacuated.

So....they're closing all the freeway exits in Acton and there's some fires burning in the mountains. We're not in any immediate danger, but we're not exactly out of the woods yet.

 

Stay safe and let me know if you guys need anything. Right now I'm waiting to hear from my roommate; she went up to Yucaipa to stay with family.

So glad to hear that you are all OK. I have been on KTLA.com a lot lately watch about the fires. Saw on yesterdays show that the video remote for the fire in Oak Glen was at Riley Farms. I thought it all looked so familiar to me, but the fire was directly across the street from Riley Farms. They said that the firemen were getting apple pies from the farms in gratitude for their hard work. Seems the whole commuity is evacuated. And now Yuicapa is in danger with the fires. I know the smoke from the Station fires is pretty thick out here. It smells like a huge campfire is going on. I know the entire Victor valley is being told to take care of themselves about the smoke.

 

Mike, just found out that your friend Terry Pickinpaugh was in a accident on his way to work yesterday and is in Loma Linda hospital with a broken arm and has no feeling in his lower extremities at this time. The rumor mill at Bill's work was going way overboard on all sorts of stuff that happened to him, but Bill trusts his brother, Ron for the latest on what happened. Just thought I would let you know about all of this. Loads of prayer go to him and his family.
