Thanks Jim for asking for prayer for me. Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I went to urgent care on Friday. Either my infections that I had on Thanksgiving never went away or they just came back, but they're back again with a vengence and I'm feeling worse than ever. I'm on several antibiotics and other meds. They sent stuff out to see if they need to add anything else to the mix. I'm looking for specialists up here and have some appointments for middle of Jan. to try to see if there's anything else going on that's causing my body to keep getting attacked by infections. My pain is a little better today, but definitely still feel like something the cat's drug around. Anyway, that's why I haven't been posting. I am praying for everyone though. I'm really sorry for all your family is going through Stuart. Please tell Aimee my thoughts and prayers are with her. Hugs for you all!

My car could do with a wash. [face_whistling]

We had the funeral for the wife's uncle's Dad yesterday. It was a good service, it was in Apple Valley at the place where Roy Rogers is buried. Beautiful memorial park right against the hills.

Hope you feel better soon, JM! [:D]

    YARGH!

In case anyone's wondering, it's me, Cara. I went and forgot my password to my other account, but when I typed in my e-mail address, they said that it doesn't exist in thier database; and of course I don't have access to my old e-mail accounts. So I had to start a new one.

Where's Murphy? I want to throttle him. [face_beatup]

Cara - if you drop a PM to one of the Fan Force Admins and let them know your old ID and the problem, they should be able to send you your password. I'd suggest either Jedi_Dajuan or MacCaffrey since Spike is busy right now and isn't going to be on much.

Hope you will be feeling much better soon, Debbie. I am feeling much better. Have a great holiday, Debbie and Ryan. No we haven't fixed the Falcon yet. I sure hope it is soon. Talking about putting a NASCAR style toggle switch in it. OH BOY.

I came home today to find the backyard oddly silent. Usually my dogs go nuts when I get home. I found the side gate open, with one of our shovels' handle placed between the moving latch. The lock (which was placed in the hole but not locked) was secured into the hole it usually goes into when the gate's secured. Darren and I drove around, but it's impossible to see much at night, so we have given up for tonight. Someone obviously came into our yard and it seems made sure the gate would not latch. Our dogs could have been gone for hours. The only thing I can think of is that the person from the gas or electric company comes back to read the meter, so I'm going to call and ask if they made the rounds on my block today, and see if they can ask that person if they did that to my gate. They both have licenses on them, so I am praying that someone takes them into their backyard and calls animal control. If it was not the meter person, I am afraid of what might have happened to them if that person spitefully let them out. I know it seems silly to some people to pray for animals, but if you could please pray that they are found safely. It breaks my heart to think of them outside all night, lost. Their names are Abby and Fly.
    Thanks guys.

There is NOTHING silly about praying for our animals! They're part of our families, too! How's Seth doing with the dogs missing? Call you local shelters tomorrow as they don't alway get a chance to call owners when they find a dog. If they don't show up, you can usually put notices up at local vet offices.

I sure hope you have two hungry babies on your front porch in the morning! Oh yea, keep the gate open in case they come back.

Please let us know if you find them!

Oh, no! Your dogs are definately in my prayers.

And it is not silly in the least. We always pray for our animals.

Thanks, I appreciate it. We did leave the gate open, but no dogs. We now believe that the meter reader FORCED her way into our LOCKED yard (Darren said that he DID lock it) and they got out while she was reading the meter. He caught her doing it before and she was like, "Oh, I do it all the time! The dogs are friendly". He also confirmed with our neighbor that she did come through our neighborhood yesterday. Darren is calling Edison this morning to speak with a manager about that. The shelter doesn't open until 10am, so I am praying that they are there! Thank you again for your prayers. It means a lot.

You've got a lot of animal lovers here, so we understand your heartache and concern. It's nice to know how they got out, but that sure doesn't help to get them home. Since they're collared and licensed, you've got a real good chance of getting them back pretty quick. Please keep us updated!

They're back!!! I think the lady that Darren knows at animal control radioed out to people to look for them, because we got a call from a lady from the water department that she saw them down near this park that is maybe a mile from our house, but they ran off. We both raced over there, but they were gone, but I guess she was tracking them, because they ran down a BUSY street (highland ave.) for about 2 miles in the opposite direction, where she was able to catch them! We are of course overjoyed at our answer to prayer! They are safe and sound at home relaxing after their ordeal. Thank all of you animal lovers :) for your thoughts and prayers! This is a Merry Christmas!

I just have to share the audacity and stupidity I'm dealing with with my ex. He took me to court in Sept re: child support. My assumption was that we'd both fill in our correct income numbers and other such things, the computer spits out the amount and that's what I pay. Not a problem.

Oh yea, I forgot that he's not an honest person. Seems he left off several facts and lied about others. One of the things he conveniently forgot to put down was that his wife has an income and sells Mary Kay. Oops! Due to all his falsifications and his attorney (I didn't think I'd need one), I got railroaded through and got financially screwed! It's all really frustrating, but it is what it is and I'll do what I have to do to be okay. I've moved on.

I've never said anything to our son about each time his dad has taken me to court. I've never felt he needed to know any of that crap. I didn't mention a word to him about this either.

Okay, here's my current issue: my son sent me a Christmas gift, I got it today and opened it. It's a beautiful, soft, cuddly robe. Guess who it's made by/for? Mary Kay. I have no doubt that my son doesn't know anything about it, but I'm sure that they knew what they were doing when they offered the robe for him to give to me.

Do they not have better things to do than poke at and harrass me?? It's just crazy!

Well, I've decided to make lemonade out this lemon of a situation. A friend of mine is a nurse. I'm giving it to her to pass on to somebody that it will bring comfort to. I can't think of a more fitting way for me to deal with it. (yes, of course I considered giving it to my herd of dogs. I'm only human)

I am so sorry to hear what he has done. You don't deserve that kind of treatment. What you did with the robe is a great thing. Someone will get it that deserves it and will be forever grateful to the person who donated it, in the right spirit.

I'm sorry to hear about that Kari. It's amazing how mean-spirited some people are. But I commend you for rising above their level and thinking about your son's well-being above everything else. It's really horrible when people use their own kids as a weapon to hurt their exes, not even caring about the psychological damage they do.

Giving the robe to the dogs WOULD have been quite satisfying, wouldn't it? [face_thinking]

After almost 12 years of loyalty and unconditional love, I had to put my beloved Tribble down today. She was my 14+ year old yellow lab mix. I held her in my arms as she took her last breath, it was the least I could do after everything she did for my son and I. It was so hard, but I know it was the right decision and she doesn't hurt anymore.

Aww...poor Tribble! I'm so sorry for your loss, Kari. [face_worried] [:D] I know how it is to have an animal put down. But you made the right choice. When an animal is in pain that can't be helped, the best thing to do is to let them go.
