well at least they have a semi-legit excuse. A lot of the character of Tommy and the rest firefighters is shaped by 9/11, so it would make sense to have it in New York.

    College Sports: Kentucky Wildcats
    NFL: San Fransisco 49ers
    MLB: Boston Red Sox/Cincinnati Reds
    NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
    NBA: Utah Jazz

That having been said, there are players I love to follow, such as Steve Nash. That guy can do things with the ball that haven't been attempted since the days of Pistol Pete.

I'm a huge fan of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in every sport, and have been for the majority of my life. After all, I spent the early part of my life in Winston-Salem, my sister attends WFU now, etc. etc. :)

The main sport I follow is NCAA basketball, but recently football has given me something to be excited about (with my main team just winning the ACC Championship and all :p). I have a couple of other teams that I support for basketball occasionally, and where I end up going to college will probably have an effect on that as well.

NCAA: Alabama and whoever is playing Notre Dame, Aubarn and Tennessee.

don't care very much for Pro Sports, just enjoy watching them not a favorite team in NFL, NBA, and dislike the MLB and NHL (both a bunch of whiny babies.)

    MLB: Chicago Cubs

I love the Cubs. They are the definition of what being a true baseball fan is all about. Say what you will about goats, Kerry Wood's glass arm, and Steve Bartman but I think a lot of people are jealous of the devotion we give our team. I prefer the NL over the AL because of it's more interesting when you give the pitcher a chance, the concept of a DH just seems lazy. That being said my second favorite team is the Boston Red Sox, and I think Ortiz is one of the most exciting players in the game:p

I absolutely despise the White Sux. I saw more Anti-Cub gear at a sporting good store on the southside than White Sox gear, White Sox fans are horrible sports. My mom bought me a White Sox world series championship shirt saying you should repersent your city...

The shirt has never touched my back...

NFL: I'm going to be a little Judas and go with the Green Bay Packers

I like the Bears well enough but I get sick of how this city celebrates a 21 year old Super Bowl and how they refuse to admit the faults the Bears have. After the Super Bowl loss, the Bears didn't seem to want to come up with a new game plan, and only said we were out played. And I absolutely hate Rex Grossman. Chicago is too much of a Bears town, it's more than a sports following it's a religion and it gets tiresome. I'll root for the Bears but my NFL loyalties go to the Packers by a tiny bit.

    NBA: Chicago Bulls
I was a Jordan child. What more can I say?

Have the Hornets played many games in New Orleans this season, EB? Do you think they will end up staying there? Just wondering, because they seem to have a pretty big following in Oklahoma.

I've followed the NY Giants and the NY Islanders very closely at times, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers, but at this point in my life, I reeally only have 3 teams that I really consider myself a fan of:

    Notre Dame (My alma mater)

    New York Yankees

    VfB Stuttgart

I think they are playing 6 total in New Orleans this season. They played the season opener here and I think 2 games around Christmas.

They are 100% coming back to New Orleans. They've already announced that they are playing all of their home games in New Orleans next season and the NBA All-Star game will be in New Orleans in 2008 as well. They actually have a lease agreement that can't be broken, so they'll be here for a few more years at least.
