I have Vader and Leia. I got these off the internet since I am new at costuming and have not made their complete costumes. Vader is wearing a custom Sith belt and saber as well as boots and the voice changer helment. Leia is is holding different toy blasters and wearing her boots. I think they look pretty good, what say you?

My son is going as my Padawan learner. His cloak is pretty much done, all he needs is a braid and we're good to go. I'll post pictures of the two of us soon.

My son will be in a sort of Tatooine Luke costume from ANH. Complete with white floppy hat. Not quite as nice as his Wicket costume from last year, but this one was sort of last minute.

Bev, do you have pics of Wicket? I've always wanted to see a well done Ewok costume. You can bet that whenever I have kids, they will be ewoks one year.

Here's a pic of my son from the OT DVD release in Sept 2004. We ran out of time to do something cute for the feet and hands as I was trying to get a couple other costumes done at the same time. For this one we used an huge fleecy sweatshirt we found at the thift store. We made another one for the son of a friend of ours and for that one we used fun fur we found at Jo-Ann's. I can't find a picture of that one online at the moment though.

We could barely get him to keep the hood on though so most of the time it just looked like he was wearing a dark grey/brown one piece outfit. :p

Cute! Dressing up kids in the midget costumes I can't wear is one of the few things that actually makes me want to have kids.

Working at a public science center makes me not want to. :p

Brown Burlap from fabric store for the robes, used a Monk pattern and made the hood seperate. Lined the rim of the hood with a metal clothes hanger to keep it open, lined inside of hood with black satin.

Gloves from Home depot (Brown work gloves, kids size.

Bandoliers from army surplus (Were green, painted brown)

guns made from plastic pirate pistols

boots: Rubber boots from wal-mart, sprayed with spray adheasive and then wrapped with tan gauze and dusted with brown spray paint.

eyes are flexible LED reading lights, velcro on the lights, then velcro sewn to one of those black face hiding masks from walmart.

Total cost: About $30 each. Most expensive thing was the bandoliers.

Awesome! Those are better than some of the adult obi-wan and Anakins I've seen.

Our kids are spoiled. My parents only bought me the cheap stormtrooper halloween costume with the plastic mask with a frickin rubber band!

Now I try to put my kids in screen accurate costumes every year and they think it's no big deal cause their daddy runs around dressed as a stormtrooper on weekends!

Oh, sooo spoiled. Its become a bit of a tradition to make their costumes with some theme. Last year they were Mario and Luigi. I should scan all their years and submit them.

Those Clone troopers they have at Wal-Mart aren't bad. I'm talking about the crap they had in the 70's and 80's. Awfull plastic mask that only resembled the character it was supposed to be, cheap PLASTIC suit that didn't even have stortrooper armor printed on it, it just said "SATR WARS" on the chest in big red letters!

    Awfull!

The stuff they have for kids now isn't bad at all. At least everyone will know he's a clone trooper!

These are so cute it kind of makes me wish I hadn't missed out on having kids.

But at 46, I'm too old to even want to think about having any now. [face_plain] I have no prospective father anyway, so it doesn't matter.
