    cool pics. my oldest daughter will be a vampire slayer at her friend's house. the others will be ep1 obi wan (son), lilo (daughter), and stitch (son). i will depart from my usual scary costumes and wear a costume similar to obi wan from episode 3. for the cub scout pack meeting, i actually grew a beard for the costume but have since shaved it off.

    hope everyone has a happy and safe halloween...

    My daughter wanted to be Padme for Halloween. She would look through my Art of Revenge book and stare at the green Padme dress. My wife and I bought the kids Jedi simplicity pattern. We used the Jedi cloak pattern on a green velvet type of fabric.

    Here are my two little ones. My son wasn't very cooperative Monday morning when it came time to put the costume on. He wanted no part of the belt and was more interested in eating the Dunkin Donut Munchkins he had shoved into his mouth that actually smiling for the camera :D My little princess on the other hand loves posing for the camera :)

    I completely understand that, Wormie.
    My nephew had to be bribed the same way. Rebel Legion has seen these already, but I'll post them anyways:

    Here are a few pics of the kiddies. We picked up Battlefront II at 9:00 on Halloween and the girls both won at their contest that night. A $25.00 gift cert for the youngest and a autographed Chewie pic from Peter Mayhew for the oldest. Pretty cool huh?
    On to the pics and man do I need a better camera!

    Actually...it just looks like you need to clean the lens with a soft cloth. Looks like maybe some dust is making the auto focus goof up. I get this all the time with mine.

    And thanks Darthlrrp We put the diamonds on later, she loves it. Shes wearin again tomorrow for a promotional thing at a bookstore in teh city. Then my son WILL put on his Jedi Robes!!! :p

    Adalia, they look gorgeous :) I bet your boy had fun with that costume. It looks far more comfortable than his vader ;) lol Too much fussing - taking off the helmet, putting it back on, taking it off again. lol

    They are so cute. Can't wait to see you tomorrow ;)

    More cute pics! I'm gonna get diabetes from the sweetness factor! lol

    STD (boy, your name does not lend itself well to being initalized! :p ), your kids were robbed in the costume contest, as far as I'm concerned! 5th place? Come on! Who was judging that contest? Those costume are great! And your kids did a great job being in character, too.

    [image=http://home.grandecom.net/~tobymcelroy/photos/Halloween05/anakin03.jpg]
    My son was Anakin. My wife made his tunic and tabbards. We used some pants he already had. Although you can't see it, we put on some black socks over his shoes/pants, and then some brown dress socks over those - they looked really good, and someone actually asked where we got the boots. But alas, it rained that day and David (my son) decided that puddle jumping was fun. Socks came off. Plus he kept slipping and falling at the mall.

    [image=http://home.grandecom.net/~tobymcelroy/photos/Halloween05/DCP_2195.JPG]
    My daughter was a flower. We had found a Yoda costume and had intended on my son using that as his tunic, but he wanted nothing to do with it, so I put my daughter in it and took some pictures.
    [image=http://home.grandecom.net/~tobymcelroy/photos/Halloween05/DCP_2212.JPG]

    My daughter just stayed in the stroller and looked cute. My son, however, was harder to keep up with. When we went on stage for the mall's costume contest, he wouldn't even hold his saber, so he couldn't show off his spin move...
    [image=http://home.grandecom.net/~tobymcelroy/photos/Halloween05/anakinvader03.jpg]
    Originally, we thought that with me going up on stage with him, he'd have a better chance. Now in hindsight, the judges may have been scared of me and what I did to my son! Star Wars has never scarred anyone for life, has it? I was dissappointed that he didn't make the top 3, I think 2nd and 3rd were store bought costumes. I always feel that homemade should always win out over store bought.

    But we had a great time and my son has been asking for candy every day now....
