Ok heres a number of species who where advanced but to my knowledge we have no proof.

    Sharu
    Culombi
    Gree
    Vuffi Raas species
    Yuuzhan Vong ancestors?

So who do you speculate and why?

Colombi were a peaceful race, so I doubt they would construct Centerpoint. After all, it is capable of destroying.

Yuuzhan Vong ancestors is unlikely too, considering they were only in the Galaxy for 50 years.

I'd put my bets on the Sharu. Corellia is pretty far from Centrality though.

    Nichos_Marr,

You say the Sharu, I totally disagree. Judging by Sharu life it seems they kept to themselves, and the sharu architechture was more advanced then centerpoints.

"Yuuzhan Vong ancestors is unlikely too, considering they were only in the Galaxy for 50 years."

Actually alien anthology hints that they had already got things into the galaxy many thousands of years before there main invasion. Space Grazers(as seen in TOTJ, and said to be extinct for a very long time), and there marvel equivalent in "Plif!/Planet of the hoojibs" had all been sent into our galaxy by the vong.

Chissdude- Yeah. I also pointed out that Centerpoint was far from Centrality. Rafa IV in Centrality was where the Sharu built the ancient pyramids. It would make more sense for them to build Centerpoint in the Centrality if they built it.

I really have no idea on this matter. I don't know that much about the Gree, so I can't say anything about them.

Aren't all the planets in the Corellian system created by some unknown force? Perhaps the Yuuzhan Vong ancestors built it when they weren't so technologically opposed.

How well defended is Centerpoint Station?the main hyperspace weapon isnt working anymore of course, but isnt the whole station covered with Proton Torpedoe Launchers and Turbolasers covering its entire surface?not to mention heavy armor plating and shields so if the Yuuzhan Vong invade Corellia they will lose half their fleet just trying to destroy Centerpoint itself.

Not the Sharu. They went into hiding because an incredibly powerful race was threatening them, and the Essential Chronology hinted that it was probably the achitects of the Corellian System. That means they were war mongering, and advanced (duh). It'd be neat to see them revealed in the NJO or post-NJO books.

That's pretty cool. I guess the predetory Vong scout beasts are the reason there aren't too many space fairing anamals in the GFFA nowadays.

It actualy claimed that those behemoths in TotJ were vong related?......strange...considering that that incarnations were force created...and...i can see the originals maybe being vong created...but...to have a force created version seems to be contradictory...

Nah, that's more the Shadows' style. Z'ha'dum-dos[face_batting]

What about the race that created the vagabond from Black Fleet Crisis? They seemed pretty advanced based on the vagabond's technology.

    Here's two fun possibilities...

Perhaps the Vong's Gods created centerpoint? If the Yuuzahn Vong Gods had the capability to drag planets into a solar system, that could explain why their worshipers said that the gods created the galaxy.

Another idea to tie it into NJO...perhaps it was made by an as-yet-unseen race that battled the Yuuzahn Vong long ago with their high-technology, leading to the Vong's phobia and hatred of technology.
