Who Caused Anakins Downfall?

I think it was ultimately Qui-Gon!

-he saved Jar-Jar! if they hadnt stopped for so long then the ship probable wouldnt have needed to land on Tatooine for repairs!

-plus jar jar gave palpatine emergency powers! he made anakin use the dark side and slowly turned him!

-also if jar jar hadnt been around then padme wouldnt have had time to fall in love with anakin andhave his babies

so i say it was actually jar jar! Qui-gon was being nice which means he was too good to be given this title!

I'm sorry, but you haven't included the one person I believe is responsible for Anakin's downfall. ANAKIN! He has to take responsibility for who he is and what he's done.

Of course, I agree that hemmoroids may have played a part.

I don't belive in female bashing I believe in Padme bashing. She was responisble really. And all her crying and whatnot got so irritating after a while.

True, blaming him for Ep 3 isn't really fair. But Ep 1, oh he is so getting it for that.

 

is it cool to hate jar-jar then? i agree he borders on the silly side of things, but did he really ruin the film? jar-jar was a device to attract a new generation of fans to the franchise, which clearly worked as my kids find him funny, ( my kids have been brought up on a diet of star wars so they love the films regardless. ) without jar-jar the TPM would have been too serious a concept for youngsters at the time to grasp, and adding a comedy character breaks up the seriousness of the film. without this a lot of kids would have stayed away. just my 2p.

and E3 scene was wrecked because he said "exquese me!"

Off the pont, but the reason why Jar Jar had a minimal role in Eps 2 and 3, was because everyone hated him. So our hatred was not in vain.
