Who do you think was the worst actor /actress in AOTC?

For me it was Natalie.

 

Is that because you thought NP was acting throughout most of the film?

 

I don't call what she did acting.


Watch the deleted scene with Padme addressing the senate and you'll know what I mean.

 

What I was getting at is that NP's character is acting throughout most of the movie. She's acting like she doesn't have feelings for Anakin, but as we find out in the "arena love pledge" scene, she actually does love Anakin. I think that this is the reason that people say NP didn't do a good job-- because she's playing a character that's acting!

 

WHen Anakin was confessing I just thought it was a little imature to say "Ani", it should of been Anakin.

Thats probobley georges fault though.

I never liked the actor who played the Naboo Holy Man. Just look at the lame way he walks off frame at the end of the movie

C-3PO seemed to do his best Jar Jar impression by saying anything dumb and annoying the audience in any way possible. I'm not sure if it is officially considered acting though.

 

Samuel L Jackson without a doubt..he dosn't seem to fit a starwars film.

I like him in other movies..but in AOTC he is not convincing enough when he carry out his dialogs,he seems to shallow.

Thing is, she would have been a fool to have done this. I mean acting as a bad actor? Well, noone would have realized this but her, and it's not much of a stretch for her to ACT like a bad actor.

Natalie Portman is easily the worst actor in the Prequels. She makes drug addicted Carrie Fischer seem like a Shakespearean actor.

 

Samuel L Jackson is the worst part in PT,IMHO.Don't get me wrong,he's a great actor and one of my favorites,but he wasn't convincing in SW.

Well said,SWfan2002.I studied Padme's character carefully,so I can see you here.Padme was not "acting as a bad actor",she's pretending that she didn't love Anakin.It's very subtle.

 

That's all well and good, but that still doesn't excuse the fact that Portman is completely unconvincing as a respected Galactic leader. Zero charisma.

And all the lines she delivers are in that same cold, monotone style that she's been prone to in the past few years...

 

Even though Natalie Portman did have some good moments in the film, she just paled in comparison to Ewan McGregor, Christopher Lee, and Hayden Christensen.

 

I'd have to say Hayden AND Natalie, especially Hayden. Hearing his dialogue was like listening and watching a cardboard box try to talk. The cheesy dialogue wasn't his fault but his acting blows.

I highly doubted it.. I can't see Natalie win any Oscars..

 

Oscars,um,it's hard to tell.It depends on her future development and depend on the characters she'll play.

BTW,I don't trust academy awards anymore.Oh,a little off the topic.

 

I think Hayden did a pretty good job.(The confessing scene for example.) He did have corny lines but thats not his fault. Natalie also had corny lines but she still couldn't deliver anything right to me.

 

I don't trust the Oscars either. After LOTR lost to A Beautiful Mind, I gave up thinking that they actually watch these movies. And if AOTC doesn't win the best visual effects award, I'll kill somebody.
