Who else got ripped off by the insider?

Wow.

I doubt that SWshop is under Lucas control. Just some guy runs it who has no idea what he's doing. Sure it has GL's name on it, but it's not like he's there packing stuff.

 

Not yet at least.

 

When I got my Hyperspace Membership Kit I didn't get a letter from George Lucas like it says I should.

 

Just curious guys...I received a package from LucasFilm today with a bunch of material:

1 SW fan club card w/ Vader holding his lightsaber
1 ROTJ Topps card of leia in bikini w/ Jabba behind her
1 rebate coupon if i order SW The Unifying force
1 tri-fold with geonosis clone war on one side and Jabba on the other
1 SW lego poster of Falcon, x-wing, DS
1 SW calendar with code3 collectible pic of falcon and xwing
1 SW poster for ESb trading card game..pic is of AT-AT and title is Blasters are Useless
and
1 drawing with a transparency labeled Splash Water (Why did i get this?)

 

Hmmm...I got most of that in my Fan Club Kit for this year but I don't recall the ROTJ Topps card....

 

Your drawing is an actual cell from an Ewoks cartoon done in the late 80's.

Shouldn't he know? After all, Lucasfilm took back over the Fan Club to make it "better than ever" but I'd much rather have Paizo back!

 

I feel ripped off by Insider not just for not having the card in it, but I signed up a couple of weeks ago, right after I bought the latest issue at the store, and today a copy of it shows up in my mailbox! So much for it taking at least 4 to 6 weeks for me to get my first issue! I expected to be getting the next issue as my first one! That means my subscription will end 2 months earlier than it should!

 

Yeah I think after my subscription runs out, I'm just gonna start buying it off newsstands.

Subscribing seems to be more trouble than it's worth anymore.

 

I have to admit that the main reason I signed up was to get in the Fan Club to get the 4 passes for C3 (as well as get Insider), but it is likely that I will let it lapse next year and then just buy it at the store as well.

Yeah I had to call them like twice before I finally got the current issue.

 

I mean I can understand a couple problems with the change over but this is ridiculous!

Well, I wouldn't exactly say I got ripped off but for some reason I got a second subscriber kit the other day. I got the same stuff Needa RIP listed. I couldn't figure it out until I remembered I extended my subscription a while back to get Hyperspace so I'd be able to order the exclusives. So anyhow, I got a film cell of a headless Ewok, which complements my other film cell of some creatures head with a turban on it.

I saw some pictures of the cells some other people got, and there were some examples that looked like little rocks about half the size of a dime. I don't think disappointed would quite cover my feelings on that. I'm not going to EVER complain about what I got.
