Abq Who else tells coworkers they are SW geeks?

Everyone here at work calls me Star Wars. Even the main guy knows who I am.

 

I am a born again SW geek!

 

The guys in my department all know Im the crazy Star Wars guy

 

I work in state government and have a few little star wars toys and pictures hanging in my office. I also wear Star Wars shirts to work, so everyone knows I am a fan.

I like to lend my movies to co-workers who have never seen them before. I rescently converted the "new girl" and her two kids to the force!! They watched all 5 movies and are now anxious to see Episode III.

 

My desk is covered in Star Wars stuff, and my whole computer theme is Star Wars, and 9 days out of 10 I wear a SW shirt. Plus I spend the whole day on the message boards or looking up stuff about my costume.

 

i'm the same matt-- at the station my desk is covered-- i have a huge bulletin board that's nothing but sw stuff (and a few other pics from movies i like) i wear shirts all the time-- my purse has a patch on it. everyone always brings me stickers or talks to me about stuff they saw. i'm "the one who likes star wars"-- it's impossible for me not to exude star wars all the time--some keep asking me when i'm going to grow out of it-- i'm 28-- NEVER!!!!

 

I have the Star Wars sheet and comforter set on my bed at work....

 

um... yeah they know... I talk about SW and you guys all the time

 

Back when AOTC came out I was in.. 8th grade? Maybe 9th not sure. But I wore a cheap little halloween vader costume to school when I came late from seeing the opening premiere.

I've been branded ever since heh.

 

My wardrobe and my "Ask Yoda" pretty much make it impossible for me to hide

Example of my wardrobe this week:
Monday - Brand New Yoda shirt
Tuesday - PHXFF T-Shirt
Wednesday - Brand New X-Wing Squadron Shirt
Thursday - Got Bantha Shirt
Friday - Rebel Legion CIII Shirt (Mon Mothma Say REBEL! )

EDIT: Oh yeah, and did I mention that the Sith Employment Agency used to hire there? Technically, there's 4 of us working there (One is serving overseas right now)

 

they all know about me at work. one lady has gotten me the sitckers out of the bags of chips. her daughter told her that she was enabling me to be a geek.

 

and that is a good thing sir...
and that is what we do here -- enable other geeks!
yay, and i'm excited to be a part of it!

 

I've actually been very quiet about my obsession at work...maybe it's that I work with a bunch of stuffy accountants. The only thing SW I have at work are the soundtracks. Although, if this article in the Journal has my picture & name, I guess the cat's outta the bag then....

 

I don't have to say a thing. They're already expecting heavy call ins on the 19th with how many fans are at the workplace.

 

I know all about stuffy accountants Wook. I maintain the computer system for... the accounting dept.!!

As for the 19th. I already told my boss I would not be at work that day. That is my Christmas.

 

Is a geek and poud of it. everyone at my work knows i ama big star wars fan and support it.

 

People at work and friends know I am a fan they know not to say anything bad about it.If they do they know I will have to beat them down. so they just avoid saying anything about it. they avoid the beating of there life.

Friday we are having a Star Wars day. Anyone not working and want to show up in costume? I will ask if you are able to.

 

They are going to play Star wars movies all day and give out Star Wars toys!

 

Well, since most of the people I work with are family members, I think they know.

 

Heck....everyone knows that I am a huge fan! It's so bad ... when they announced my promotion a few weeks ago through the corporate email distro list they mentioned that I was a true life lightsaber carrying Jedi Knight...this went out to all the folks in ABQ, SF, NYC, India, Japan, UK, and GER.

Hey overlord1138...what systems do you support...I work as an IT Finance Manager supporting Oracle 11i Financials, PeopleSoft REPS, RetaiLease, PTS, Sunguard Financials, and Citibanking -- JPMorgan Transfer. All accounting software.
