I remember reading reports of people finding them way back in December at SW news sites, but I've yet to see any myself. I did see the trash compactor sets yesterday, but I wasn't very impressed by them. Perhaps if they go on sale I might get them, but not at 16 bucks a pop.... [face_plain]

Technically, a bunch of great figs were already released on the 10th of January.

Figures like Obi-Wan Acklay Battle, Padmé Droid Factory, Anakin/Vader Unleashed, Leia Unleashed, and other goodies should be hitting stores in a few weeks I should guess, then. :)

I doubt we'll see the first wave of 2003 figures on the shelf until the end of the month. At least that's what I keep telling myself, so if I do find them, I'll be pleasantly surprised ;)

I finally found the Trash Compactor sets this morning. I know a lot of people have whined about the price, but we're getting a very accurate background and an incredibly detailed base in addition to some unique figures. Since the 25th anniversary 2-packs were $19.99 when they came out, I think $16.87 is a very nice price for these sets.

Who released the trash compactor sets in Oz? They are a Walmart exclusive in the US, and I can't get to one.

EDIT: Sorry, I don't know what made me think this was an Australian thread.

Haven't seen anything new as far as 2003 releases. Did see a clone biker which I bought though.

Can't wait for the new figures. Just need to get my hands on the new Anakin.

I hope we get them here soon. My Wal-Mart has been REALlY slow lately. K-Mart hasn't had new stock since they came out. Target is pretty good though. I have a feeling that will be where they show up first....

None my way yet. But I still haven't seen Ephant Mon, Gunship Pilots, Deluxe Yoda w/SBD, Deluxe C-3PO, Deluxe Clonetrooper w/speeder bike, and a few others that I can't think of right now.

i've got my screamin padme already. man the head sculpt really bugs; it looks ok in the running position, with the base, but if you just display it standing it looks plain unnatural; like shes got lockjaw or sum'in. time to boil n pop and do a head switch with padme pilot: ultimate padme head (that ended up sounding awkward).

I have seen the Trash Compactor sets at my local Wal- Mart. They look Pretty good to me. I have seen pics of the jedi high council yoda on ebay, but no visual confirmation that they are in stores yet.

I don't think I'll ever see the trash sets at retail, the WM's around here made their SW sections really small now.

Ret: Ditto. We have about a 4' by 4' space for SW figures now.
