What makes one person laugh, might not make another person laugh.

So who in the Saga is the funniest?

Be it for their quick wit
Dry sense of humor
Or just their downright ability to be hilarious

This is going to sound wierd, but I laugh more at Palpatine than any other character. Although I laugh a lot at Nute Gunray as well. So I'll say it's a tie between

IMO, Han is definitely the funniest SW character. His wit and sarcasm are just fantastic.

However, honorable mention should go to Yoda for his impish sense of humor ("Ohhh, cannot get your ship out), to Obi-Wan for his sarcasm and dry sense of humor (the "Oh, he's not dead...not yet" line in ANH always cracks me up) and to Palpy for his wonderfully ironic comments ("The thought of losing you is unbearable").

yeah, Han is king. Even when they're in trouble he's got time for wit:

"no time to discuss this in committee!"

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Yoda yet. I've always loved his gentle brand of humor:

"lost a planet Master Obi-Wan has. How embarrasing!"

"when 900 years old YOU reach, look as good you will not."

flyingseal: That's because all those long dragged out years of hermitage on Dagobah have caused him to turn a bit looney.

In a sick twisted sort of way, Palpatine would easily walk away with it however, Jabba as well.

Other than that I hate to sound like a broken record (and not out of personal taste) but Han Solo can always make a joke out of thing's.

By the way, though I'd contribute to the bar code fest.

Han Solo, I still laugh in ESB, in the scene where Chewie, Luke , Leia and Han are talking after Han saves Luke. I loved the way he teases Leia.
