I do. Again. Both my parents came to C2, my dad got sick of the lines on Saturday, so he explored Indy. I imagine that he will do that again. My mom is a Trekkie, but she still likes Star Wars and supports my habit by letting me go to conventions and such. She is also going to make a costume to wear at C3. My dad on the other hand doesn't really care about Star Wars (but still understands my obsession), and he is coming to be with us and so he isn't home alone all weekend.

I will be free of them though at the FF/RL/501st party... my mom isn't paying $20 to get in so I can leave her and hang out with my friends. ;)

I'm 21 (a month from 22 by the time of C3) and I have to drag my parents along. (But I don't have to pay for a room... that is one thing that parents are good for. :D) So after reading the thread on those people who have to bring their spouses/boyfriends/girlfriends to C3... who has to bring their parents?

I'm within a couple months of your age. My parents and brother came with me to C2, but I am leaving them behind for C3.

I'm bringing my father, but he's coming as a SW fan (wearing his Qui-Gon Jinn costume!) and not as a chaperone or anything, lol.

My parents are coming with me. They don't know it yet, but they're gonna be my placeholders in the autograph lines and the C3 store line! [face_devil]

"drag" isn't the word I would choose. It worked out well for everyone in my family that C2 and C3 were in Indy.

My sister and I go to the convention...they head over to Caesar's Palace riverboat casino and try to win me a set of clonetrooper armor (they just don't know it yet :) )

It was cool, because they went with us for the last day. Walked around, Dad got "captured" by one of the 501st guys (classic) and we watched the costume contest.

the closest thing to a parent that is coming with me is my mother in law, she is to keep my wife company while they both go shopping at the malls! which infact i like that idea a lot so i can be in CIII and not be nagged by my wife that she is bored while im standing in line for an autograph or a toy or something. oh! and since its going to my be 22nd bday that week they are also paying for the trip! so woo hooo! i get a free trip without interuption!

And you would think that they would share some of their winnings with you if they won, Krash? :p

My dad hates lines... and all of you who went to C2 remember all those lines. So I feel like we are dragging him along.

Nice Drador... are they giving you spending money too? ;)

Cool Drador...can't beat having a trip paid for you to spend time in Star Wars land. So I take it that your parents aren't into star wars then. I know what that is like. My mom hates it. But my dad is kind of into it, looks out for toys for me and is thinking about coming to C3 with me.

    I invited my Mom, and am thrilled she's going; I'm 24, she's 55.
She's way cooler than all those SW nerds; we'll have so much fun partying!

My Dad's coming along. He's the one who introduced me to Star Wars, so I feel I have to bring him. :p I am by far the bigger fan, but I know he'll enjoy it and it's something we can share.

i dont talk to my parents, so the only thing i have to a parent is my mother-in-law, and sometimes my wife cause i get yelled at like a child sometimes lmao oh well.

and no i dont htink they are giving me money for the trip :( but atleast i get to get in for free and the hotel! so i dont have a problem at all for paying for anything while im in side!

The only reason my dad will probably be coming, and I mean the ONLY reason is because I am without a car these days after it drowned in a parking lot here at college a little over a year ago. And the van my dad was going to let me take to Indy by myself broke down and he won't let me take the 2 newer vans cause I'm not on the insurance policy etc. So it looks like he's going to be driving me down [face_plain]

on early Thursday morning. He will be hanging around for 4 days or so. He may go to visit some friends in Chicago or just stay in Indy for a couple of days or maybe even drive back home to Va while I stay there. I'd like him to get a one day pass for one of the days he's there just to experience it all. Then again, my dad may be assigned on an overseas trip again and won't be able to take me........in which case I'm screwed unless I can possibly get a ride with someone else in my area or catch a bus/train etc......

I'm going with my dad(who's liked Star Wars since 1977 especially the Philosophical underpennings), my stepbrother(massive SW fan, especially Boba Fett), and my stepbrother's friend(surprised she's coming).

Though I wouldn't use drag cause their the only reason I can go.
