I like Jango Fett. I see why people think he's cool.

Boba Fett is the one I don't care about. He was a cool looking guy who didn't really do anything in the OT- except die like a dumbass- and scream like a little girl at her first day of school when he died didn't raise his coolness points either.

EU Bobba Fett I like tho'. He can be someone you can actually enjoy watching who actually DOES STUFF!!! I like that Bobba Fett but not the Movie one. He blows sarlac.

jango was too overhyped and hes only been in one movie, i would rate him if he was apart of TPM

but now hes gone and yea.. i hate him

Don't be Boba hatin!! Yes EU Boba is what got me interested. He seemed like such an nice guy in the Han Solo trilogies. True, he was going to kill Bria but he was going to send her message!! The boy has honor.

I don't think it should be locked, people who dislike the fetts have just as right to post that they don't like them, as you do to post how you DO like them. If it does resort to flaming and name calling I would say lock it....but it hasn't....yet

 

Not so...I was banned 24 hours for Vader bashing. Clearly a double standard here.

 

Well thats b/c Vader is actually cool.

 

I'm not a fan of the fett family (in fact I don't like them), but I have never been agreed with people who starts a topic only in order to bash some character.

Fett reavaluation, we are seeing how many dislike the fetts. (We have seen you guys that already like them, again, again, and again.) Thats why I like this topic, its different.

Now, to me these 2 lines sound like bashing.

 

I know who hates 'em even more than the bashers: George Lucas! Why'd you think he had them get whacked?

Well...

Lets examine closely what Vader did...

#1) He kills Obi-Wan.
Wow. He managed to defeat an ailing, aging, weakened Jedi who ALLOWED Vader to beat him.

#2) He Beat Luke on Cloud City.
Wow. He managed to defeat an impetuous, reckless, inexperienced kid.

But...when it counted...what did Vader do?

He lost...thats what.

So? His problem...not Luke's.

All this probably makes you think I hate Vader. No. He's my #3 favorite character. How could you not like a character who gave you nightmares as a child?

Just like who you like, and don't worry about other's favorites. Its not your place to decide what someone else favors.

 

You know.. sometimes I think that the people who say that Lucas was pandering to the fans by putting the Fetts in Episode 2 are right...

and then I found this forum, the premier Star Wars forum on the net and many fans loathe the Fetts. Either Lucas reads the wrong message boards or these forums are not a good indication of the average fan's opinions of characters such as the Fetts. Then again the average/casual fan probably doesn't talk on SW message boards.

 

Well, I am most certainly a Jango and Boba and Mandalorian fan(even if Lucas decides to re-name Mandalore to something else). I was around when the 1980 TESB film came out so I understand why Boba is such a cool dude even though he didn't do much in the movies to make bashers put the character down. Sure, Jango did more in the one AOTC film than Boba did in all 3 SEs but its beyond that. Guess you have to be of Jedi intellect to understand that "deeper meaning".

 

I like both Jango & Boba, I wish they had more scenes. It's too bad Episode III takes place only two years after AOTC, because Episode III would be a good opportunity to finally develop Boba.
