I have a great respect for the amount of trust a person who can take someone back after they "make mistakes" in a relationship, man, if that was me I'd just be lying awake at night wondering if I measured up to the other guy, or if she was missing something, anything about him that I may be doing different or not at all.
Especially if she was pretending all was well in her world and she was giving me some huge lies while I was half a planet away. Man, to take someone back after that sort of trust breach would take guts, can you imagine that hanging over your relationship for the rest of your lives?
Ah well, Obie None, I hope the mistakes your other half made weren't quite as bad as these, good luck to you ;)

It looks like both of you have finally found happiness with the people you were meant to be with. Guess destiny works in a good way after all. :)

And Kahli: NOTHING could ruin a thread of this size. :D

Guess destiny does work out, but you have to wonder, does someone who chases up his wife's past mistakes on the internet really sound like a happy person to you?

    Just a question...

Well, might be a good idea to ponder those kinds of questions outside of this thread.

I'm sure there's a variety of cannibals who would beg to differ. And besides, we're perfectly fine to live with as long as we have TV, beer and a toilet all within reaching distance. </generalisation> :D

My mother wants to set me up with a young woman she works with, who spends all of her time at home on the net.

    I thought, eeeek, geek alert!

And then I told everyone about it in email, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, Trillian, IRC ...

    LOL

Sounds much like my mother wanting to date her friend's son. I have known this guy since I was like 3 or something when we were in playgroup, our mums are really good friends and meet at least once every few weeks to play trivial pursuit with other mums from playgroup days. Strangely enough I am the only girl in my age group, but there are at least 5 guys my age... The other kids are all of similar ages, I think it's a parental conspiracy!

Anyhow, they are convinced if I and this guy meet up again (note I havent seen him since I was 10 or so and avoid family picnics etc like the plague cause I know my love life is their primary concern with single sons my age!!!!!!!!!!!!), that I will fall in love lol. Just cause he's into IT like I am and is into the net hehe :p

So you aren't the only one Oz. Lately it's become a nightly occurance for my Mum to come in and sit on my bed whilst I check my email when I get home from work at 10:20ish, and talk to me about her friends sons :(

Meh, my mother did that for a while.

I think she finally convinced herself that I am gay and that I am punishing her for being a bad parent by denying her grand kids.

    /parental Rant Off.
