Who here likes Harry Potter Music?

I really like what John willams did with Harry potter music.

For all the people who likes it what is your favorite music theme from it?


Mine is Fawkes the Phoenix from the Harry Potter 2 soundtrack.

I love this theme. I can't stop listening to it. I love how Willam Ross conducted the music.

Anyone else like Harry Potter Music?

 

Yes I love the music for Harry Potter. However, they won't really let us talk about non Star Wars music in here. It is theoretically supposed to go to the Amphitheatre... However, I've never really seen any film score discussion there. So basically, there's no where on the JC where this is being discussed.

 

Well, in light of the recent discussion in Comms, perhaps this sort of thing will be allowed here afterall! We can certainly hope!

I enjoy some of the Harry Potter music, I just don't like playing. I believe that Mr.Williams could do better. *just my opinion*

 

I really enjoy Harry Potter music!
I love listening to Harry's Wonderous World.
I also like Fawkes the Phoenix,The Chamber of Secrets, and Reunion of Friends from The Chamber of Secrets soundtrack.

 

Come on. The Chess Game is possibly one of the finest cues he's written

 

Yes I love the HP music. Original. Gives the series is character. Very cool recognizable theme. Love it!!

 

I think the thing about the Harry Potter music that really impresses me is the richness and diverseness of the scores. There are already in two films, SO many great themes. He really returned to a SW type leitmotif for the HP films. I think Fawkes' theme is absolutely brilliant.

 

And not forgetting the complete originality in the music for the Quidditch match in HP2

 

I think the HP scores are "cute". No more, no less. And highly listenable when divorced from the visuals.

 

I really adore the HP music! It's brilliant.

One of the most stunning moments for me, is the opening of the chamber of secrets. That creepy theme gives me the chills.

The main theme & all the other themes are superb as well.

Yes I quite agree, Darth_China! Good stuff all around. As for the score being "cute" I think they are no cuter than Hook or E.T. Also as the Harry Potter books go on, they get darker, so I assume the films and scores will as well.

Does anybody know the Spirited Away score? (SotS, maybe? )
The tracked called "Nighttime Coming" just reminded me somehow of Harry Potter. Maybe I just have a bad musical memory, because I didn't hear HP-music for a longer time, but I thought it sounded a bit alike.... *shrug*
