well do any of you? I for one love to listen to the classic game music while in the car (blasting in my speakers!) or on long road trips. It is very fun to go around town with classic zelda shakin your car, or Mario. So I personally like to listen to Zelda, and Final Fantasy, how bout all of you?

I have the Shadows of the Empire CD. Technically it's not for the game but it has the music from every level.

    Portman, amen.

The Rainbow Six score is excellent.

But I usually don't listen to game music that much.

It's funny. Video game music tends to be the only music I really listen to. Everything from Mech Commander (which is going right now) to Chrono Trigger/Final Fantasy to the Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale/Torment games to the Rainbow 6/Rogue Spear/Sum of All Fears (the game) soundtracks.

    It's all good.

I own Zelda OoT soundtrack and Zelda MM. And have an arsenal of FF songs from my friend. Rainbow six music is good, however I much prefer Zelda...more nostalgic I guess. Well at least I'm not the only one that listens to video game music, my family thinks its stupid...they just dont understand.

Antillies2001, I've got those Halo outtakes on my computer, too. Though not as good as the music in the game, some of the songs are pretty good.

My CnC Album is pretty sweet.

if you put Half life into a regular CD player you can listen to the music, which is also really good. i also have the complet Allied Assault soundtrack on MP3, which is also quite sweet.

another good place to try is Overclocked.org, lots of really great mixes there.

The Warcraft music. Nothing beats it for long rides in the car. It's great for driving when there's no traffic.

I don't listen in my car, but I like listening to game music like Baldur's Gate II or Planescape Torment. Good music can be found in these titles. :)

I burned the Dark Forces music from the JKII DFTC on to a CD and listen to that quite frequently! Theres some good stuff there. Also, anyone remember the old Lucasarts game Outlaws? That had some great original stuff too. I like Mario music too, like from the Nintendo games, although I don't know how to get it on a CD...

Who listens to video game music?
    I do! I do! :D

I made a couple of CD's of the Medal of Honour soundtrack. If I didn't know better I'd swear to God it was John Williams. It's that good. I love the Nazi theme!
The Command and Conquer series is OK, even though techno is not really my thing, but it works for the game (some of it makes me wanna go clubbing, though.... ;))
Three other games that have great music are:
    Starfleet Academy (Great dogfighting music)
Starfleet Command (Romulan March kicks A**!)
Starfleet Command 2.(the Mirak theme is wonderful. Sounds like little windup soldiers marching around :D)
All 3 of these are so grandiose - almost like a film soundtrack. I wish more games would spring for a real orchestra instead of that synthesized stuff....
Some of my favourite music would have to be for 007: NightFire. And I loved the song "Nearly Civilized" at the beginning. What did you all think of the Opening title song?

HALO: Best Game Soundtrack Ever. A good companion when making long car trips.

I've also burned some tracks of Metal Gear Solid and Sons of Liberty. Mr. Harry Greggson-Williams knows how to write a good military-action score. :D
