Who is Anakin's father?

This might have been discussed a long time ago. Also, I know from the movie Shmi says there was no father. I don't understand that though. Have any of you learned or heard anything as to the father?

Yeah, do you really want to poke around with this? Because if you can't accept this in a simple sci fi film then you are possibly going to seriously rattle the cage of some people who believe in a certain religion where something along these lines actually happened

 

More than one religion, actually. Parthenogenesis isn't just a Christian thing.

yeah, I know, I didn't name a religion. I said a certain religion. In other words, not implying there was only one but that most people only believe in one(at a time anyway)

 

with all the crazyiness in the world, im about as convinced that the religion lucas created can pass as something plausible.

thats why i stay on an agnostic/atheist side

he was conceived by the Force. that's all there is to it. it takes time to accept it, but that's the facts. if anything it makes the myth and the prophecy that much cooler and stronger. i think it's awesome how he has no "real" father.
