or in other words 'Who is left of the resistance?'

Did we see if Nein Numb made it? Major Emaat?

Also were ANY of black squadron in this movie? Do we assume they all died in the evacuation from D'Qar?

okay so having now watched some very dodgy cam footage happy to see that Connix and Numb survived.

Wonder if Nein will give Chewie a hand in the cockpit.

I haven't seen this brought up anywhere yet, but all those old Jedi books that luke had on the island were in the falcon. Rey has all the teachings of the jedi. I forgot who it was...finn? went to go grab something (which i forgot what he grabbed) and next to that item were a bunch of those old jedi books.

 

As sad as this is for the Resistance, it's also kind of cool because I always thought of the Falcon as being like a home (a mobile home, as it were) to the heroes in the OT (especially Han and Chewie, obviously). And even though I'm not a big fan of the Rebels TV show, I kind of like the similarities between the Falcon and the Ghost here too.

The whole point of Holdo being in charge is because Leia is injured and the rest of the higher ranking chain of command (including Ackbar) are dead.

I couldn't tell who the pilots at the beginning of the film were. Right after the film I saw someone saying Snap died in the initial attack and it completely bummed me out. I'd be relieved if that wasn't true.

Hopefully black squadron got sent on some sort of special mission and didn't regroup with the rest of the resistance.

 

With Wedge gone, He's the only person alive to do two trench runs. RoTJ and TFA.

On my second viewing I was scanning the people on the Falcon, and, oh thank goodness, he's in the very last shot.

But yes, Nien Nunb vs Chewbacca.
The last surviving OT characters are Falcon co-pilots.

Which makes me think, why didn't they give us that scene? Chewie and Nien together at the controls. At last.

 

Am I the only one that wondered about Leia having a pretty good mood on the falcon after her Resistance is demolished, her brother is dead and she having said that her sone is gone just minutes before?

 

At the time i asked i didn't remember Akbar even being in the movie at all. I guess he was there, somewhere, but i still don't remember seeing him.

 

She, along with everyone else on the Falcon, were happy because against all the odds, they survived and they’re all still together. Now they can rebuild the alliance. Luke died in peace, and she’s already accepted the fact that Ben is too far gone to save. At this point in time, everyone has to take a little win as a big win.
