I like the way that people just say "Vader" despite there being no evidence to support it.



Palpatine is Vader's boss. Vader bows to him and follows his orders.

Vader is power hungry, if he could he would have destroyed Palapatine.

Anakin joins Palpatine to learn greater power.

Vader says to Luke that only together can they destroy Palps.

George Lucas has said that the Emperor is the more powerful as Anakin/Vader never reached his potential.

Yes, Vader got a suprise attack in and threw the Emperor down the shaft. But IT COST HIM HIS LIFE. If Vader was so strong, he would have walked away from that.

Palpatine had much more experience than Anakin and had been a Sith Master for many years. Anakin barely made the rank of Knight.

 

If you were to take the question literally, probably Vader.

I would put money on Vader winning in a powerlifting contest due to his bionic arm.

my personal preference goes to Vaderkin , but lets face it , the emperor is stronger than him , anakinwould have become the strongest if he would have reached his zenith of power !

Cleary and without doubt the emperor.
I don't even think that Anakin is more powerful than Yoda in ROTS.
He has the potential to be more powerful than the emperor but he would have needed several years of training as a sith or perhaps decades as a Jedi to be powerful enough to destroy the emperor.
I mean he lose again Obiwan despite being more powerful than him,doesn't he ?
He would need to be significantly more powerful than the emperor and to be able to much more control himself to stand a chance agaisnt Sidious.
