Who is the best Batman?

In my opinion, the first two Keaton films and the Bale film are both better than the animated series, but the Mask of the Phantasm is close to a dead heat with the first Keaton film.

And for all that the quality of the two other films is better, I think that Conroy's voice work made for the best Batman; in part because he was both a believable and interesting Wayne and a threatening and menacing Batman.

So, while his body of work is, though great, not as great as the Burton films or Nolan's work, still Conroy is the best Batman.

 

Bale is great, but I've voted for Clancy Brown and Dana Delaney as the best of their respective characters, and I will continue to support the animated series here.

Kevin Conroy gets my vote.

Christian Bale by far. He had depth and an inner darkness that none of the others had. He was down to earth enough for us to really identify with him.

I'll admit that I haven't seen Kevin Conroy in action. But Batman Begins is one of my favourite films; part of which is because of Batman himself. So he still gets my vote.

 

earlier this year I might still have voted for Bale
but now that I've seen TAS episodes again, and all of Justice League, I have to go with Conroy.

Christian Bale for me.

An absolutely brilliant casting by Nolan. His immitation of Bruce Wayne has brought the franchise back to life. In the old Batman's, people weren't interested in Bruce Wayne's life, they were only interested in Batman's life. After watching Batman Begins and reading some reactions, people enjoyed Bruce Wayne's screentime. Some even preferred to see Bruce Wayne on the big screen rather than The Dark Knight!

No live action Batmans have been good enough for me to even count them. Christian Bale was okay, but still not the best.
