Who is the best X-Wing pilot ever?

I would put this in a poll, but this forum doesn't have polls, so I'll just do a topic on it. Who is the best X-Wing pilot ever in your opinion?

Luke? Wedge? Tycho? Corran? Kyp? Jaina? Biggs? Gavin? Wes? Hobbie? Someone else?

Are we just going by flying skill? In that case, I have no idea... Wedge, Luke, or Corran, I guess.

As for who I like the best, Corran. I have a soft spot for Corellians. Han, Corran, Wedge... never met a Corellian I didn't like!

I would go for Luke, although if he didn't have the force, it would be Wedge.

If Wedge was force-sensitive, then he'd be best and cane Luke anyday

That might change if you were to change the term from X-wing to starfighter.

Umm...now we have the same problem that Wes/Wedge had in answering a similar question in Wraith Squadron. By what terms do you mean "best" pilot?

Most kills?
Most survivability?
Most successful missions?
Most training/experience?

Unless you define the question, there is no way to answer it. It would be like my asking: Who is the best Author?

Well, technically, if you believe what MAS wrote baron fel would be the best x-wing pilot. Wedge always has these thoughts of how he would lose if he had to get into a one on one dogfight with baron fel. Baron Fel was part of rogue squadron for a short time.

But that is forcless against forcless pilots.

When the force gets calculated into it, then many say you have the best pilots. For instance Maarek could most definatly outclass baron fel in the 181st squadron when he joined(He also got a piloting honor that baron fel apparently doesn't have,"Tan"). But I digress he unlike fel never fought for the alliance.

But one would think luke was better in this case as well, cause of the force.

 

My vote would be for Wedge..after him I'd prolly say Corrin

 

funny though I seem to remember wedge contemplating back on luke, how luke was indeed better than him, because of the force. There were things that luke could do in a cockpit that he never thought he would be able to do in a cockpit.

Maybe it would be best to seperate force users from non-force users, and make 2 lists?

Of course there are force users who fly who are definatly lower, I think the x-wing books estabilished that corran was good, but wedge was better than him.

WITH FORCE= Luke/Corran (we don't really know how good Luke is, we just know he's good. Corran on the other hand...)

WITHOUT FORCE= Wedge, hands down. He's shot down more, survived more and outflown pretty much anything. Tycho/Wes a close second (but they didn't help blow a death star now did they?)

 

I dont really know much about luke's flying..just he can race through beggers canyon and he blew up the death star,but that wasnt really because he was a great pilot it was because he used the force
