ST Who is the biggest TFA fan here ?

Just curious on who thinks they or another fellow board member is the BIGGEST TFA fan ? There has to be someone here absolutely obsessed with TFA. Wondering if anyone feels TFA is the BEST SW film and / or who has seen it the most times in theater ???

 

Its defiantly not me.

 

I've only seen it once - but it is right up there with my favorite Star Wars movies. I would certainly put it right there with ANH and ESB

 

Goodness, if you go on the Box Office thread people are on their 10+ viewing! Dedication right there.

I loved it. It's for sure in the top 3, maybe number 2.

 

That would probably be me. I'm obsessed. I'm most likely seeing it a 4th time this Monday and will watch it 1000 times on DVD.

 

I think I might be high on the list.

 

Just from stalking some threads, Bowen is the most enthusiastic about TFA I've seen from anyone. How many viewings are you on?

Just once dude? I genuinely think you will get a pleasant surprise on viewing no. 2. That's when everything just worked for me on so many levels. Don't get me wrong, after viewing no.1 I was sold but 2nd time around it was more "wow...they really have made a truly great film here". I think the first time viewing TFA (or any new SW film) can be hard for fans as you are processing the film through so many filters. The 2nd time I just let it wash over me like a "normal" film and that's when things like the soundtrack stood out, the dialogue shone even brighter and the fun/action/drama/emotion just swept me away.

If you loved it the first time, you are in for a treat IMO.

 

Either Winshen Cloudleaper or McLaren. It's a real toss up.

 

Yes I loved it. I absolutely loved this film on so many levels. My love in life is writing and although I don't have any background in directing I have a huge appreciation for it and I think on a purely quality level - excluding "I grew up with the OT or PT( depending on how you feel ) it's the best one, possibly tied with ESB. Like I said I've only seen it once.


The only thing I'm scared about is i really like looking forward to blu Ray releases and for some reason I think if I see it again I won't be as excited for that release. Even though I will end up watching the movie 20 times. This movie has so many amazing themes and myth that i could write a 20 page essay on it having only seen it one time

Agree so much about the DVD. The film can be rewatched multiple times with ease IMO. Saying all that...that's only if I can get my son's SW Lego DVD's out of the machine first. The little guy loves those films (as I do to...)

 

I really like it but can't rank it until it's complete. I won't rank it properly until episodes 8 and 9 come out. Though at the moment it could easily make my top 3.

I love Star Wars, and I've certainly seen the films numerous times, but I have to say, I think whomever is most obsessed with SW (and NOT getting paid for it--because it doesn't count if you work for Lucasfilms or on the movies themselves, because then it's your job to think about it)--that person is really the biggest loser and should get a real life.

 

I know, I really should. maybe this weekend I'll make some time. I just moved to California and I don't have many friends out here yet so hopefully my buddies will want to go again....

 

I'm sure Yoda or Obi-Wan's force ghost would be up for it. Anakin's definitely would too, but he's a creep. Whatever you do, don't go to the cinema with him.

I think people are using the word "obsessed" in it's lightest context tbh.
