I think Lars Ulrich is the best rock and roll drummer. His drums have so much sweet bass.

I voted for Bonham, even though i should have voted for Ulrich (because he´s danish like me). No, Bonham is superior to everyone else

Richie Hayward from Little Feat! I've seen him in concert so close that I could feel the sweat from the band. He's not only a great drummer, but his expressions while he's doing it are entertainment by itself!

Ooh, I love Jeff's work. Thanks for the link. I'd forgotten he'd worked with Steely Dan.

    Lars Ulrich,there is nobody better.

Please, he's crap and he knows it. He is to drumming what afterbirth is to charisma. [face_plain]

Igor Cavalera or Dave Lombadro are technically amazing, but Bonham and Grohl have so much soul in their playing.

who cares about soul and stuff . it's all about hard core rock and roll, and bass. Lars Ulrich is better than Igor Cavalera or Dave Lombadro. Besides Metallica is a lot better than any of these others drummers bands.

    I think Bonham.

It came down to Ginger Baker, Ringo, Keith Moon, and Bonham.

The Beatles are my favorite band, however Ringo is not the greatest drummer.

Keith Moon is pretty good, but not as good as Baker or Bonham.

I voted for Bonham because I like Led Zepplin better than Cream

I am disgusted that Ulrich is even on here. The man still needs a click track. Anyway, Ringo is too simple to be the greatest so it came down to Bonham, Moon and Peart for me. I chose Peart.

John Bonham is by far the best rock drummer.

    Lars Ulrich,there is nobody better.

Please, lars isn't that good of a drummer, and he is a sniveling little ***** if you ask me. However, I do think that Metallica is a great band.

The only drummers I have heard in this list are Ringo Starr and Lars Ulrich. Perhaps after each drummer, you could have put in brackets what band they are from?

Is anyone able to list the drummers and their bands?

I voted for other... one of my favourite drummers is Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam).

Bonham, by a landslide - I could only imagine what it felt to be Bonhma playing either Kashmir or Babe I'm Gonna Leave You live, imo the greatest 2 drumming EVER.

I had to go with Keith Moon from the Who, he died a little too young. Im frankly surprised to see Ringo Starr up there. He was a very good drummer but I wouldnt put him as being the best. I guess he gets honor mention because he was a Beatle, and they are the greatest group of all time.
