I voted for Schmidt for both offense and defense.

Brooks would get the nod for defense.

    Molitor is my favorite.

And I should also mention that I had the same doctor remove my appendix that took out Eddie Mathews'!

    :)

Mike Schmidt without a shadow of a doubt. My favorite player of all time. I was devestated when he retired (I'm also from Philly).

I do believe this is the hardest position to choose, because the candidates are so remarkable.

Hands down Mike Schmidt. Yes all the players listed are amazing. But Mike... wow...

Yeah I am honoured to have seen him play. With Pete Rose no less.

    <--- is not worthy

Schmidt is far above any other third baseman, though Brett was also a tempting vote.

Brooks Robinson was a human vacuum cleaner at 3rd base. That being said, I believe Schmidt still beats him by quite a ways, I would rank George Brett 3rd of these 3 players who are better than all the others.

Tinker was the 3rd baseman. Evers 2nd. Chance 1st. Why do I have a nagging feeling that maybe Tinker played short?

I'm gonna go with a write-in - Ron Santo. Better defensively than anyone on that list (except Brooks), and hit as well or better than anyone except Schmidt.
