Well, Not only do I believe a lot of people used socks to vote for Clinton and JFK, but I bet the majority of those votes are not even US citizens. To me, it is never a good indication when an american is being touted by Euro's.

FDR, there should be no debate about that one.

    JFK

Reagan was a good pres. and I would put him in the top 10 of all time. The mistakes he made Iran/Contra, and not knowing that what comes up (the very quick climb of the economic climate) will come down equally as fast. Everyone in his cabinet should have known the economy was going to crash as it did. If it is too good to be true, then it is.

I would put Clinton in the same class as Reagan, while he also had his share of scandals, he was still a good president for the people that Reagan forgot about.

Clinton. He's the only President to raise our economy greatly since the end of the Vietnam era.

    I like George W. Bush
mostly because he's so funny purposefully mispronouncing words...... wait a minute, that wasn't on purpose.
    Damn mispornocable words!

    Clinton all the way!!!

He was actually intelligent and did a good job running the county. The american people loved him, and the rest of the world did as well.

The people who hate him are republicans who can't stand the fact that he was re-elected and was so popular, and when they couldn't defeat him politicaly, they tried to ruin him through his personal life.

It's good to see by this poll, that most people realize what a good president he was, even if he wasn't good with personal life.

how could people vote for bush? why is he so great??? please tell me?

he has no clue about any of the issues, he can't make a speech unless it's typed or telepromted for him, he has no idea about foreign relations, he repeats the same things in every press conferance, and he can't even speak without making up words or using the wrong word (often causing problems like just now in japan)

He can't even pronouce nuclear!!! Do you want a president like that? He's a dunce! A puppet for the republicans.

When you see him on TV, does he come across as an intellegent, knowlegable person that understands the issues and has ideas to make things better or just some shmuk that repeats things like "make no mistake about it, we are going to smoke out the evil-doers. etc., etc."

Clinton...he's the only one I remember...George Sr. is fuzzy in my memory, but I fondly remember Mrs. Bushes story time. :D

The only thing I remember about Reagan is that he was a lousy actor and I remember him taking the helicopter as Bush the elder was being sworn in. [face_plain]

o good grief clinton is winning. <rolls eyes>

And why exactly does everyone consider everything bush junior does to be ignorant and ill thought out. Funny almost everything some of you have been saying against him, i feel exactly against clinton. Maybe we're all just thinking along party lines in some ways...

And my accent gets in the way I talk often, but yet people love my accent. It may make me sound dim sometimes, but i'm far above average in mentality and other areas. Just because I am not always able to fluidly pronounce things does not make me ignorant, or that people have to tell me what to say.

We didn't just give bush the presidency, he had to have earned it somehow.

sorry this should probably go in senate floor somewhere.

a southern accent doesn't make you pronounce nuclear, "nuc-u-lar" or make you create words that don't exist. that's just a lack of knowlege. bush's southern accent is cool.

it's not the way he sounds that makes him look stupid, it's the things he says. you can tell he really has no clue about the things he talks about.

...and we didn't give him the presidency, he stole it from Gore. but that's just my opinion. :D

Look at the economy when Clinton was president. It was great. So, he lied about an affair, ohhhhhh, big deal. He wasn't a saint, just president. For all you George W. lovers; He's an idiot, the economy is in shambles, and we look like idiots because the most powerful country in the world still can't find one damn guy. So, no he's not kicking Usama's butt as someone stated above.

Clinton probably would have blown up two or three buildings and left. Does anybody seriously believe George Bush is not intelligent? You guys must be watching to much Comedy Central. George Bush is a good President, and he's actually a good person, unlike Clinton.

Bush, a good person? How do you know that? He might have all kinds of hidden secrets. He was a drunk for most of his life. I don't call that a good thing.

Everyone has personal flaws. I don't think Clinton was any less of a "good person" than Bush is.

The question is, is he a good president? So far, Bush has not impressed me one bit.

You missed adding the greatest president of the twentieth century by one administration. Harry S Truman was probably the best human being ever to hold that office. He's the last Democrat I'd have ever voted for for President. I voted for Reagan, but on my list of great presidents, Truman comes out on top every time. (Clinton is down somewhere with Harding.)

I went with RR, but I also love GWB. My fav all time president is Lincoln, and John Quincy Adams for what he did after his presidency.
