Who is the most overrated Character?

Grievous. I was expecting a lot more action on his part, either directing the droid army in battle, or directing an ongoing battle from a holo-terminal or some serious hand-to-hand fighting like in the Clone Wars cartoons.

 

ok the han thing was more because i was having a bad day butt seriouly if this is a prequel discuccion the bobba fett is kinda irrelevant aswell because he only had like 3 min of air time......


and i still think palps is the most over rated of them all.....i mean he couldnt even keep vader on his side through all the movies and he freacking saved vaders life.

 

i'd say Aayla Secura? what does she do in the PT? other than be a blue piece of Ass fanboys get Horny over?

General Grievous by far. He's always running away or trying to run away it seems.

 

Darth Maul. He looks angry and he's red. Anything else? Oh yeah, he's angry... nope, already said that.

 

i'd still say Aayla Secura.

 

O Wow i deffinetly give this to Qui Gon Jinn. I mean he was just as rebellious as Anakin was the to council but he could back it all up with nothing. His saber skills were limited as shown in the battle against Maul. He may of been strong with the force but he deffinetly caused alotta damage in the galaxy

Aurra Sing, and thankfully her character never caught on beyond her brief but hyped up appearance in TPM. U-G-L-Y.

 

i'd say R2-D2.

 

Yeah, Aura Sung isn't even really a PT character, I would say she's the most overrated.

I always thought that the emperor should have forseen Darth Vader killing him but I will have to agree and say Qui-Gon Jinn.

My vote goes to Grevious. So much hype before the movie about him....so inconsequential.

Mace would have gotten the vote had it not been for the palps fight.

 

Qui Gon is one of my favourite characters of the PT.

He's awesome for an old man, so wise, so rebellious and kick a** with a lightsaber.


I'd say Panaka is overrated, but he would actually have to have people like him and hype him for that to happen!!

Panaka is a lifeless, dull, angry at the world charcter.

YODA
Hands down the most overrated character in all of Star Wars.
the - to Yoda
1-he has a lame leg that makes him limp all the time.
2-he is only 2 feet tall.
3-he would only have the str/dex of a 4 year old
4-he could not beat Dooku
5-he could not beat Sid.
6-he as the head of the Jedi Order. Has to take full
responsibility for is failure under his leadership.
7-he ran from Sid.
8-he hid in the swamp for what 20+ years??
9-he never even tried to fight for the republic after
its fall.

Oh he can say "give Luke some training I did".

But in the end. Luke was still laying on the floor feeling like a burnt piece of toast.
Vaders love made him a monster and allowed Sid. to become the 1st Emperor.
And in the end it was Vaders love that killed Sid and brought down his Empire.
Yoda=a frog on a gig for anyone smart enough to read between the lines.

 

I'll chime in with Mace. He's pretty dumb, yet well-respected.

 

It has to be grevious... I've never watched any of the cartoons etc... so he wasnt built up in my mind but god did he dissapoint. lighting up four sabres i thought wow but he was so crap, Obi had a field day with him.

P.s. to all you mace haters out there. Mace is great. what did he do? Lobbed off jangos head, would have sliced palps... YES he was beating him, saw the trouble with anakin... yoda on the other hand...

 

i cant believe what im hearing....yoda is so tight....

he almost killed both dooku and Sid.....and making him only 3ft tall makes him even cooler....plus Sid is only as good as he is because of some stupid crystal he has.....thats like so sstupid......palps is the worst..

how can Plo Koon be the most overrated? He's my favorite jedi, yet he never even has a line. If he's so overrated, give me solid reasons why.

I believe you just answered your own question. He's your (and others') favorite Jedi, but never has a line. He does three things:
1. Sit. For three movies.
2. Ignite a lightsaber, a feat which has never since been accomplished.
3. Die.

In terms of relevance, interest, and overall those things that to me make characters favorites, that puts him somewhere below Dak. The Ugnaughts have a bigger role than him. So how does this make him a favorite? Well, he looks cool, and that's about it. And what I call a character with no story, no lines, and no actions except dying becoming a "favorite Jedi": overrated.

but Fett and GG are both hardcore to me Mace is just a punk that had a actor with to large an ego for Lucas to handle.
