Who is the NR Chief of State? (Rebel Dream Spoilers?)

I haven't read 'Rebel Dream' yet... is it revealed who suceeds Borsk Fey'lya as Chief of State of the New Republic???

Pwoe, if i'm not mistaken.

 

Yes, I actually read that in a few threads after I made the post.

I TOTALLY disagree with this...

I HOPE that a few futre plot line involes a coup d'tat or a coup d'gra (spelling?).

From my understanding of the current events of the NJO, especially "Rebel Dream", I believe that Wedge Antilles should be the Chief of State of the New Republic.

Now I really wish Elegos hadn't been killed off, he would have been the logical replacement after Viqi turned traitor and Borsk died.

Though that does explain why Mon Calamari is the interim capital in Destiny's Way.

It's very clearly stated that the majority opinion of Wedge, et al is that Pwoe's assumption of leadership is no more valid than Wedge's refusal to take direct orders from the Chief of State. Hence, the military doesn't really consider Pwoe the true CoS.

Wedge and all aren't really apart of the New Republic anymore. In all but written words the New Republic is dead.

 

They call themselves "Insiders". Pwoe seems to have at least 2 fleets, while Inblis and Wedge and Kre'fey hold the rest. Pwoe probly murdered the counclers from Kysheek and the other pro-jedi along with variouse senators.

 

Yeah. the NR is dead. to tell the truth, i was amazed that the councillors showed up. i thought that the YV wouldn't have allowed them to escape. someone should knife that quarren dude in the back.

 

It's entirely possible that Viqu Shesh advised the Vong to let them escape in order to allow a easier takeover in my humble opinion

 

Viqi seems like shes just escaping death, and she feels the Vong are the only way she can do that.

 

Argh... PWOE is the CoS? If I made a list of people who *shouldn't* be CoS it would include Fyor Rodan of Commenor, that Sullustan jerk, and Pwoe!

The CoS should be Cal Omas or Triebakk! Oh... wait... then the CoS would be pro-Jedi and something might actually be accomplished other than bickering, backstabbing politics and - of course - calling the Jedi "dangerous renegades" every five minutes. My mistake (lol).

Both of them are missing and assumed dead on Coruscant. Luke thinks they may have been deliberately left behind or killed because of they're pro-Jedi sentiment.

The New Republic exists, but Wedge and the Inner Circle don't care. You've heard of the New Republic, now it's the New Rebellion!

 

But how will the offensives be mounted? is it going to be Wedge, Garm, and Kre'fey.

 

It SHOULD have been Calibop Ponc Gavrisom. He held the galaxy together during the Caamas affair

Now he's all but forgotten, consigned to the EU character black hole.

 

Gavrison, lol, he did absolutly NOTHING. He was only president like a couple of months and did nothing for the Cammas incident.

 

Try and realize that completely incompetent looks mighty good compared to corrupt evil

The NR spirit is dead, Pwoe holds the remnent of the government is dead. Like how the Roman Empire died, the spirit was lost but the West Emperors lived on until aroung 450.

 

If anyone from Mon Calamari should be the CoS, it should be Ackbar.
